Brianna is the name of a cow she was pregnant with when she was crammed with her other sisters in a truck whose sole purpose was to transport them to the slaughterhouse.
She felt that the final destination would mean the end of the game for her and her baby, so she used a desperate gesture and jumped out of the moving truck, landing directly in the middle of the busy road.
Brianna got up and began to run disoriented among the cars, seeking help. When the police found her and cordoned her around, the cow was confused by the lights and agitation and refused to cooperate. Later, several Animal Protection officers manage to calm her down and transport her to the Skylands Animal Sanctuary And Rescue shelter in Wantage, New Jersey.
Initially, no one knew about Brianna's pregnancy. When the veterinarian at the shelter discovered this, he was extremely concerned about the health of the chicken. Brianna had been badly injured in the fall of the truck. There were high chances of complications during labor.
To the veterinarian's amazement, Brianna went to work two days after rescuing and brought to life a perfectly healthy calf, named Winter! The shelter considers Winter's coming to the world a miracle and has offered assurances that the calf will never be separated from her mother.
A lot of people were amazed at Brianna's determination and her desire to protect her baby despite all the vicissitudes. We wish them a long and happy life!
