I mostly agree, but not all bad content is abuse. Some should just be ignored, like walking by a musician in the train station: it would be rude to stop and say “I don’t like that music, it’s not good subway (public) content” or worse “I don’t like your music AND I’m taking a buck or two from your hat” which is a kin to a Steem downvote.
If the content is lackluster but no sign of abuse I just walk on by. Next step, mute individual... if abuse— flag.
The cream should rise to the top and the ignored post shouldn’t earn anything prompting the shitposters to do better. But nothing’s perfect.
Cheers
I am not downvoting content because I do not like the song, the photo or the subject is not of my interest. If you would have followed me you would know that I read everything and even vote what is not of my interest. Simply because it is written well, catching, well edited and written by that person.
You make something different out of it. Fine with me . You can follow your own rules. I can be objective enough to see what is well written or what is a fast copy-paste or just a picture with a link. That you think I am the kind of person who loves to break people says enough of how you think about me. To be honest I find it disappointing.
I am one of the few Steemians who leaves a comment with every post she reads. Yes, I read them all and comment and give tips how to improve it and I vote.
Good content deserves attention and votes, good writers do, not the ones who share a link and upvote themselves.
I wish you a great Sunday 💕

I agree with, totally. Perfect explanation, how to deal with someones posts, if we like it, or not.
