I loved to movie when I was young, and my kids love it now. We have been hesitant about the new release for fear of it being terrible. It is nice to hear you say different. Be well.

I love the original movie too. It's my favorite Disney film. I've seen all the remakes of these Disney films so far and it's been hit and miss. This one was pretty good. Not as good as the original of course but I enjoyed seeing the movie from a different perspective non the less.
