I loved to movie when I was young, and my kids love it now. We have been hesitant about the new release for fear of it being terrible. It is nice to hear you say different. Be well.
I love the original movie too. It's my favorite Disney film. I've seen all the remakes of these Disney films so far and it's been hit and miss. This one was pretty good. Not as good as the original of course but I enjoyed seeing the movie from a different perspective non the less.
Its a movie time and you know original is always exceptional all time than any other remake.

Soon that will be me, just waiting for this first hype to pass, so I can have a quiet time in the theater.
It's incredible what that movie did to so many millions of children and the remake, as you said, has no potential to beat the original, but it is amazing to see it with different visual effects.
