Japan #9 - Ginza Crossing What a busy district! Even though it's getting late there ...

... are hundreds of people on the streets heading for the mostly upscale shops, restaurants, or entertainment. And even though you wouldn't really expect a quiet scenery in a city like Tokyo and I have experienced the bustle for some days already I'm still kind of overwhelmed with all the activity. There are people talking, laughing, rushing, and then, of course, there are probably millions of lights, many of them flashing and changing color, and bright, too. Feels almost like daytime. Still, I'm letting myself get into the vibe and start exploring the shops, looking for souvenirs or maybe a special type of tea. Here, on the Ginza crossing, I take some time to look at the Wako store with its somewhat out-of-a-different-time clock tower and the San'ai building with its prominent advertising. The beauty of this view lets me find some calm in the middle of all the hecticness.
