But I discovered the most important rule of all a few weeks ago, which reveals so much about #Life: "Nullius in verba" translated from Latin: "After nobody's words"

One of the main principles of science;
For the first time I heard the sentence "Nullius in verba" as the motto of the Royal Society in a documentary, a national academy of science in the United Kingdom. Known sizes such as B. Sir Isaac Newton, Sir Christopher Wren or Lord Kelvin were not only members but also presidents of the Royal Society. "Fellow of the Royal Society", as its members are called, were the first scientists to start establishing an experimental science.

Back then, around 1663, it was really a "paradigm shift" (shift from one basic scientific view to another) in the philosophy of science. They no longer wanted to rely solely on having to quote some authority and accept their statements as the truth.

Do you put question marks? ... It does not bring you anything to read without understanding, to learn without implementing, to work without a specific goal, to help without having helped yourself beforehand, it does not bring you anything to quote without having had the experience yourself. You cannot escape from yourself, not in the long run.

For some people a quote speaks more than volumes - for others it is just an incomprehensible sentence. Never stop questioning and bet so much? as possible.

Aber die wichtigste Regel von allen hab ich vor einigen Wochen entdeckt, welche so viel über das #Leben verrät: „Nullius in verba“ aus dem lateinischen übersetzt: „Nach niemandes Worten“

Zum ersten Mal gehört hab ich den Satz „Nullius in verba“ als Motto der Royal Society in einer Doku, eine nationale Akademie der Naturwissenschaft im vereinigten Königreich. Bekannte Grössen wie z. B. Stellst du Fragezeichen? ... Es bringt dir nichts zu lesen ohne zu verstehen, zu lernen ohne umzusetzen, zu arbeiten ohne ein konkretes Ziel, zu helfen ohne davor dir selber geholfen zu haben, es bringt dir nichts zu zitieren ohne selbst die Erfahrung gemacht zu haben. Du kannst vor dir selber nicht flüchten, nicht auf Dauer.

Für einigen Menschen spricht ein Zitat mehr als nur Bände - für andere ist es bloss ein unverständlicher Satz. Hör nie auf zu hinterfragen und setzt so viel ? wie nur möglich.
