An end-of-season top 3 of City, pool and Chelsea is on (ie. in that order). Arsenal overtaking Spurs (St Totteringham day) is something you can almost take for granted. Then, to pip Utd for that last CL qualification spot would be pretty damned hilarious. And it's hardly impossible. The big 6 hitting form and finishing strong is hardly unheard of.
But with Sanchez on enormous wages comes enormous pressure. Yes, he scored today but if that form's as short-lived as the form of Pogba, Lukaku and Mkhitrayan (as a Utd player, that is), Utd could be dropping points again soon.
I'd love it (as a pool fan) if Arsenal caught Utd, any day of the week, but with the Sanchez-Mkhitaryan adding extra spice, the end of the season's still going to be fascinating (even though City look odds-on to walk the title).
Wenger can't miss qualifying for the CL two season in a row? ;)
Well there's still the Europa league route, which I suspect we'll have to use as the season progresses. There's a couple of critical away fixtures that will determine our fate; the away games against United and Spurs(spurs coming up next week) and the home fixture against City in two weeks time. If we manage to close the gap on them guys through those fixtures, we may qualify thriugh the league table, however, if we drop points against them, I suspect Wenger will focus his attention on the Europa League
