I have read something very interesting recently. I am very interested in the art subject and everything that comed with it. Not only about the practical creation process,but also about the emotional and mental side which comes with it. What and why it happens. Since i would love to become a teacher at some point in my life,i have been studying on my own for now.
I came across a very interesting experience. The particular artists name is not important at this time,but the explanation is for sure.
The artist described art as something that is holding two piecies of an artists life. Without it,life would fall apart. But it is not like the life is broken already. As long as there is creative process going on a routine even of creating,then life is balanced and complete. It brings out happiness and joy.
Now after reading it,I recalled some of the things i already knew,I experienced on my own skin. I guess many artists,graphic,musicians,dancers etc will agrer to this to some point.
Being creative you are distracting yourself from most of the stressful things you have going pn in your life. The stress level reduces dramatically. I read that there are even studies,backing this up,that creating and even only experiencing art,visiting an art gallery for example,reduced "cortisol" which is a stress hormone. It also builds your self-esteem. We always feel and good and confident doing what we love!
It also creates a healthy state of mind.And it can be any kind of art. Drawing,painting,writing poetry,dancing. I milyself would love to get into woodworking. It is dream of mine. My father was a profrssional woodworker,he could build a house on his own. Do everything. I always respected him for that. All my life i wanted to do something similar. Something i will pursue in the future for sure.

I think you are right about this.
What I do (programming) is not considered art, but the creative process is the same as writing a story or poetry.
I don't tend to write much in the way of fiction any more because that creative need is met during work hours.
As my wife will tell you, when I'm not working, and not writing, I get very grumpy.
So I think it is less about the finsihed art but more the creative process that saves those of us who need to do this, from insanity.
Yes! And the process is mostly when all the magic happens. That is the road how the result is being achieved,and i guess the end result is showing how the process looked,how it went etv. And if you enjoy it,then the end goal will be achieved 100 out 100 times

I could not agree more. When i'm stress sometimes i start to make something with my hand whether its a beaded necklace or even just make something in the kitchen if such thing is considerably doing art which i thing it kind is :)
