We are headed for a workforce explosion. Work environments have been evolving through tech, and now we as humans, must find our position in the fall-out. Is our workforce complacent and comfortable in the typical 9 to 5 job? And if so, how long will a typical job exist before it becomes obsolete or automated? Will jobs go the way of analytics with AI and driverless trucks? Truth is, what will win out in the end, no matter what is — innovation!

You could be a big financier making zillions of dollars by the second, but eventually you’ll come to realize those dollars are just 1’s and 0’s switching between accounts and the true physical value comes into play. Interest turns into more money, and on and on,but what does that get you? This is where the likes of Richard Branson folks are, but they see real value in physical projects and IP. While making more money they are also exploring vision and pushing new frontiers, like Elon Musk. As frontiers develop, they own everything produced by the innovation — kind of like Intel, HP, IBM and Apple.

So, the truth is, whether you are the one holding all the chips or the creative freak with a really cool idea, we are living in a world where folks need to create the future together. Create new avenues of partnership into the next Pandora or Netflix. While we are seeing so much split within our countries in politics, the answer is for us to say “no” and pull towards each other in “Unity.”

The last tech bubble was created purely for profit. I think it’s time to create sustainable tech environments"Blockchain" where the strengths are driven from each individual on the team. Jobs will then have a life and purpose, other than a paycheck. The success of projects will determine the success of your paycheck. Everyone has a piece of the pie.

There are a few concepts floating around out there about how corporate structures need to change — like the infamous “Holocracy” by Zappos. But what they are trying to create there is ownership — a feeling that each person has a purpose and will share in the brand.

Industries are redefining how workers feel about or are connected to their day-to-day jobs. So, while things may seem a bit shaky, it is time for convergence with a new purpose and direction. The old work structures of the 50’s are now obsolete. The tech is here and we must advance into a new round of innovation!

Where do you see the biggest changes happening?
