Did you know your food is totally fracked? Yep, it is all poison and processing, with companies like Monsanto raking in billions as they "feed the starving world"... LOL! Feed their starving pockets, more like... I do an organization called Artists Against Monsanto, so it is fun when I have new art to share in that direction... This one was sent to me by my nephew, who used to collect foreign currency, until he saw what I was doing... Now he sent them to me to paint on... Thanks, Diego!
As soon as I saw this I thought, 'Oh it is the Jolly Green Giant! Looks a little worried...' The next thing I noticed was the very tattered old condition of the bill, which suggested to me that I try and make the art appear weathered as well... Ballpoint it is, then! I really enjoy street art, but not going to jail... So I treat money as my walls, and graffiti to my heart's content...
I thought the Jolly Gene Giant should be running from mutant food... I saw the Monsanto logo in a box... And Brasil calls its currency REAL, for gawd's sake... That alone is loaded with puntential... I like how the tomato stem looks like a bizarre Tim Burton hat that grows offscreen... And the big number 1 in the middle, that needed to be a fork... Which meant the tomato mutant needed arms...
The Monsanto vine from their logo fit nicely over the stylized DNA strands... Like someone else coming and tagging over a previous work... Lulz... I couldn't have the tomato's other hand going offscreen, so I added a knife... I mean, that is what GMO food will do to you, if you are a jolly green client...
Many people across the world are going to march in protest of Monsanto and genetically modified foods, in May... Look for a march in your own town, or start one... Let's ban RoundUp and all biotech too...

Its mad and sick mate.. my sister had a kid no vaccinations and she lives on a farm so grows her own food he has not been sick a day in his life walking at 8 months old happy healthy. People are sick because of the water we drink (fluoridated) and what other shit else they put in there and food GMO as you say its all horse sh1t. We need to grow our own food. Our stressful lifestyle does not help. About growing own food too I feel aquaponics is the safest healthiest way as our soil is all so polluted now too. Cheer$;)
I love all of that... But with aquaponics, is that with telapia fish? I heard China has genetically engineered telapia, but as an artist I don't like to be a source of hard-facts... Just punchlines! Anyway, I dig your sister's lifestyle, more and more folks need to go that way, if we hope to save this earth... Like a Universal Basic Outcome!!
She just joined @Buckaroo .. ya mate well it depends on where you get Tilapia bruv you can still get clean ones I am sure. Also depending on your climate you can use a host of fish actually even gold fish koi rainbow trout many others :) Fresh water fish naturally . Cheer$;)

Where is the art show going to be or is it an online thing?
Don't quote me, but it would likely be in Kansas City or Denver, or someplace cool that wants to partner with the project... The funding we are seeking includes a travel budget, so it could be NYC if the doors opened! I just don't have hard facts yet, just making art in the meantime... And we want to have it also be an online exhibition... I will update as I learn more?
