We had a beautiful sunny day here on the Rideau River yesterday so I headed out on the water in my kayak with my watercolours and oil paints hoping I could find a nice quiet place to paint. It is getting difficult to sit and paint in the kayak these days since there are so many new boats and jet skis on the water ... making big rolling waves.
So I paddled until I found a nice quiet bay where I could park the front end in some cat tails and reeds and made a little painting.

I really like the simplicity of painting, and that it transmits so much. Surely there was a lot of tranquility in that lake, it looks very nice.

It was.... I had to paint very very fast. The sky kept changing as there was a good breeze.
Oh really? In that case, it will be very confusing.
Or it ends up looking like the clouds are moving ....

This is how I usually paint. I have thousands of paintings from my kayak. Watercolours, oils, acrylics .... But I can’t share any of them here since I did not take process photos.

If I have the urge or need to post more than once a day I just post on Instagram or Twitter or someplace else.

@offfridlife That's just a misconception. People are free to use downvotes if they want to. Not sure why you got downvoted but that doesn't imply one cannot make more than 1 post a day on hive or existence some unspoken rule to that effect. :)
