Yes I know I've been gone a few days....too busy! The problem is now solved because I'm on a one week vacation in the Black Forest region of Germany.

Living in Belgium, I have to say that Belgian beer culture is listed by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity. :) This small low-key country boasts over 2,000 different beers, each of which requires a unique glass. Beer brewing started in abbeys in Belgium dating back to the 12th century.
The Tongerlo beer in my photo here is one of the 18 certified Abbey beers in Belgium. You can see the church behind from which the beer glass got its logo image.

I love this contest! Very creative :) Well, being a proud citizen of the Czech Republic, a country known for having by far the largest beer consumption per capita in the world, I have tons of beer photos but let me try and find something artistic too :) Ironically, this shot was actually taken in Mexico but I think it makes a pretty good entry:

Yeah, most people actually don´t know it :) According to this article we have been the world´s largest beer consumers for at least 23 years now but I am pretty sure we have been keeping this "primacy" for decades or even centuries :D There are thousands of micro breweries in the Czech Republic but a lot of people don´t even know that Budweiser and Pilsner are originally also Czech beers. These are actually German names of two Czech cities where the beer is made - České Budějovice (Budweiser) and Plzeň (Pilsen). Not surprising that we are often called "the beer nation" right? :D
Originally not plan to join this because I don't drink but just for the fun of it, I'm putting the beer I saw some time ago just because the name itself is artistic to me. :-)

During our flight back from vacation, I am delighted to photograph (and drink!) a couple of fresh Italian beers...

Here is my artisticbeer photo taken during my visit to Cuba and to a little restaurant called Le Marelocated on the north coast about 30 km east of Old Havana. Although we mostly drank rum, Bucanero Lager was one of the few good (and stronger) beers. I suspect that @phortun had a few of these as well during his travels to Cuba.

Entering the latest contest by @kus-knee this time I have decided to present quite different vision of artistic beer photo. Not just a bottle or a glass of beer, but very nice example of street photography just shot few days ago while our vacation at Rehavot, Israel. So here the front entrance of newly established beer pub, which is not opened yet. But will be soon... and looks like their intention is to fly at least to the Moon and don't ask me why :)
