Well, if im honest ill be creating a SMT eventually myself. If im going to be serious for once, lol, it will actually be a token with real world value. It wont be grandiose in scope nor will it be game changing or revolutionary, like every other token claims and wants to be. hehe
I work in tourism (Croatia) and im an owner of a apartment complex with 10 apartments on the Adriatic coast. Currently im working on expanding my business and opening a tourist agency.
My idea was to tie in my token with something of real world value. Travel packages have real world value. Accommodation costs money, food costs money, transport costs money...
I would provide a real world service as a travel agency with a "proof of travel" coin that would be given to folks that purchase my travel packages in the $% amount of their purchase.
Once travel is completed and they spent how ever many days in Croatia using my services they get "TRAVEL TOKENS" which are essentially vouchers that can be traded on the open market or reused to slash a price off your travel expenses.
There would be something backing the token value beyond pure speculation.
Thats my basic idea. Ill need to look into the token economy a bit more and i will eventually get a dev to help me out, but i think theres something there.
It aint a Drama token but then again.... nothing really is. lol. :D
Doesn't sound too bad at all! I think there's also a front-end for travelling, called @tasteem or was it @tripsteem, hmm. Anyway that could be a great addition to at the same time get people a steem account if they want to post or review their stay while earning your token and some steem. :D
Yeah. To take the benefit of the "voucher" you would have to have a STEEM account. My business will be registered in the coming month with the Croatian ministry of Tourism. The agency will function as if it has nothing to do with blockchain but i will add payments in BTC, STEEM, etc. (not ETC haha) with the addition of the token that will act as a voucher. All customers will get it but if they want to use it.... They need a STEEM account.
Ive thought this through quite a bit but as i said, this wont be something revolutionary. A simple tokenized business.
