A Final Full Moon
So long to winter, as we wish for warmth and good tidings to come with the bustling bounty of Spring. The final moon of winter, often called “the worm moon”. Because this is the time of year when the earthworms come out, it is a sign of fertility, possibilities and new beginnings.
Illuminate Virgo
While the sun is chilling in the relaxed stoner sign, Pisces, the full moon in Virgo is ready to sort and meticulously process those emotions that are now skimming the surface. You may have noticed an emotional time last night, I know at our house it was. Even with expecting this and knowing it was coming, the inner feelings of all of our household was front and center. Rite Night - March 1, 2018
Magick for this full moon ya consisting of processing the self, preparing for stepping into the light of Ostara and relinquishing that which holds you back. This month is a busy month, with a major holiday Ostara on the 20th and then the full moon part two at the end of the month. Combine that with it home the fact that February had no full moon, there is a lot of purging going on for many of us.
Cardinal Power
The cardinal is a sign of personal power, vibrant and full of life. The cardinal is also, personally, I representation of my mother as it was her favorite bird. Whenever I see when I think of her and that is especially difficult since her passing last year. I decided to bring the cardinal is a total must be and to the spring this year and that’s included it in my ritual alter design for the last moon of winter. As we approach spring we are quite literally stepping into a illuminated time where shadows are cast but all else is laid bare. The cardinal can help us realize our own personal truths and see ourselves as we truly are rather then version version that we sometimes try to show to the rest of the world.
What Are You Avoiding?
This time of year is typically when we shift focus from introspection to gazing outward. After the cold in darkness we see the light. Today, Mercury passes into Pisces and we are more easily able to communicate the tumultuous happenings of last night and are finally able to calm the mind and spirit. With this transition becomes possible to say nothing while still expressing what needs to be said in other ways.
The Moon Holds Secrets
Last night during ritual, I pulled a card as I normally do. This month was the Moon card. Again with the secrets! Personally, I am not one for keeping secrets because I have no filter to do so. That being said there are still some things which I left at noon, and after last night, well, let’s just say that everything is out in the open. Even, the slightest of secrets are likely to come out right now. The best advice that I can give to you is to embrace the truth and to be forthright as possible.
If you weren’t forced to face the truth last night, Venus will be trine it’s Jupiter today and with Mercury hanging in Pisces as well, things look good for clearing the air. Empathy and ethical solutions will be well received. Sometimes it is true what they say, “The truth will set you free.”
Fly Fly Fly
With a disabled the head now is the time to get your schedule as clear as possible and your mind in a good headspace. Challenges are likely, especially as we hit Ostara. Set your own goals high for the lighter side of the year and don’t let fear hold you back. If you set your sights on overcoming these now chances are you’ll see some excellent and expensive personal growth over the next six months.
