Steem Basic Income
We caught up with enrollments yesterday, but it was a bit late at night. A few more today, and we are all caught up! We are up to 484 shares, with 226 members. If you believe your share count to be incorrect, please let us know and we will check it again.
We have a pending order with @minnowbooster for delegation, but it looks like the market is full of orders and ours is unlikely to get filled. I will resubmit with more generous pricing if it does not fill.
The vote results on bidding bot services came back, and we have been converting SBD earned from posts into SP directly instead of rolling into further promotion.

Sounds intriguing... How do I sign up?
Send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of who you want to sponsor in the comments. You and the person you sponsor will each receive shares in the program. You can also send 1 SBD and the extra value will be treated as a donation to the program and used for promotion or powering up.
Each member of the program will receive their Steem Basic Income through post upvotes. The total vote strength will be divided by the number of shares to determine the vote weight each share receives.
Questions?
If you have no idea what this is about, please review the introduction. If you have any other questions, ask away in the comments section!

Looks interesting, I sent 1 steem to see how it goes. Good luck!
I think I am supposed to have 12~13 shares instead of 11 :)
Anyway, a bigger problem than that is the voting weight of SBI doesn't seem to be matching the shares displayed. People with 5 shares might get 20% votes while people with 20 shares get 5% votes, just looking through some of it on https://steemd.com/@steembasicincome things don't really align to the shares yet. I am not too worried about it personally but I do think this kind of thing could negatively impact the growth of SBI since people have much less incentive to get more shares.
Some members post with much greater frequency than other members.
The voting weight is adjusted across weekly posting frequency. If somebody has 1 share and post 3x in a week, their upvote weight will be twice the weight given to somebody with 1 share but posting 6x in a week.
I checked your transactions and you should be 13 shares. This has been adjusted.
Thanks for the explanation, I think that makes sense and is a good way of doing it.
You're welcome.
Somehow the system messed up yesterday or I did and when I went to sponsor someone it I sent way more than the 1 Steem I intended, please can you transfer back the extra
The requested return has been sent.
Thanks keep the remainder as an apology for the extra work 😎
Thank you for your support.
Your welcome :)
I suggest you build long term SP instead of buying short term delegations. Basic income is about long term sustainability.
Agreed we are also working on building long term SP. We broke out in great detail the actual math behind the project as currently structured in the Extended Introduction, which fully explains why we buy 90-day delegations.

If you have some points that we have overlooked, we would love to hear them.
Thank you ! :-)
Interesting project! Maybe after my next post reward I'll be able to sign up :)
An upvote definitely.
Thank you for your support.
