Musing on sunny day,

in #beautifulsunday4 years ago (edited)

This is my entry for #beautifulsunday created by @ace108. It has been cloudy and rainy in Bangkok during the past few days. So, today has been exceptional in that the weather is dry and sunny the whole day. In the afternoon, I decide to take an older friend on a short boat trip to IconSiam. The sky is brightly blue with some cloud and blustery wind. My friend has never been on this free boat ride to IconSiam before. So, she finds it very refreshing and quite a nice experience.

The sunshine is rather bright in late afternoon making it much easier to take my cityscape photos with my iPhone. This is the first free boat trip for me since the beginning of lockdown some five months ago. So, I feel quite liberating to be on the boat even though most people are all masked up. This always makes me feel ambivalent as this indicates that most people are full of fear and that they have been completely manipulated by the mass media.

On the other hand, I must admit that wearing masks has helped in reducing the spread of common cold and flu during the past few months. I have nothing against wearing mask in general, but I just wished that people would think and evaluate the risk of infection themselves. They should reach for the masks when the risk of infection is getting serious because of a new spread of infection. At the moment, people are too hyped up by fake statistics and fear mongering by daily official news on global COVID statistics.

It is rather strange and illogical to me that officials never inform people on how to harden up their immune system against the infection. There have been many previous publications of the importance of vitamin C, D3 and Zinc in preventing the infection. The mass media seems to drill in the fear and the best solution of vaccination.

Nice "free" boat ride to IconSiam and beautiful cityscape photos!

I agree with you, to prevent the flu, we would have good health; eating good foods, having good exercise, and good sleep, etc.

Take care! ;)

Thank you for your kind comment!

Have a nice weekend!

You're welcome!

Many thanks for your kind wishes. Have a wonderful week, too! ;)

I did Virology for my graduate degree so I'm used to N95 masks as I had to work in a bio safety class 3 lab. So far I never had an infection. I even took care of a H1N1 patient without getting infected. I think normal 3 ply or 4 ply masks do not prevent the spread of virus at all but still people were advised to put them on due to short supply of N95 and a strategy to calm the general population. I also think social distancing is effective because when I studied seasonal flu epidemiology in Scandinavia, the people there had lower cases of infection compared to overcrowded cities like Hong Kong, China and etc... Scandinavians generally kept a safe distance from each other when they queue up to buy things or taking public transportation. In Asia, people have very little personal space and privacy because city developers want to maximize profit. I agree with boosting immune system instead of relying solely on vaccination.

Thank you very much for your feedback which is very helpful. I think it’s a good idea that street vendors should wear masks when selling street food and have to be breathing car exhausts all day. They are quite good in reducing viral loads but they don’t prevent the infection.

You’ll be shocked to know that most working people’s masks are very dirty!! They take them off and place them on any surface; they pull the masks onto their heads and under their chins!! They wear their masks from morning till night! What’s more these people don’t have access to running water for washing their hands frequently. So, you see, from my point of view, these masks are so dirty and unhygienic!! And they have the false belief that their masks will protect them from dying of infection.

This is all about fear mongering! My neighbour admitted to me that she was afraid of dying from this virus!! She is very paranoid and presumes other people may be infected!! The official propaganda has driven people to such crazy stress!! They all recite the number of infected people everyday!!

Cheers.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that COVID-19 infection is also closely linked to those with existing health problems. Those constantly exposed to pollution, pesticides, hazardous environment and etc. are very susceptible to viral infection due to weakened immune system. Tell your neighbor to stay calm and optimistic. It's like learning to swim during childhood. The more one struggles, the more likely to drown.

I think we are wearing mask for 2 reasons:

  1. to prevent spreading to us
  2. to prevent spreading to others - there's probably more of us with the virus unknowingly.

Look at the latest reports and evidence from non-sponsored doctors and scientists, plus previous various experiments about masks and virus prevention; the conclusions were that these masks could not prevent Covid19 spreading.

But wearing mask may be useful in reducing the virus load, in case there was an infected person among people. Prevention measures should be taken to reduce the likelihood of getting severe attack by the virus when they get inside a person.

The point is that most Thai people just don’t do their own research or do any independent reading on this issue. Had they done some research, they would be stunned by the hidden agenda and long-term planning about this virus outbreak.

But I think it’s almost too late to wake them up! It’s okay; it’s human nature. Very few people will want to search for truth as it’s quite exhausting. There are too many pressing things to manage in life. Life will go on.

Cheers.

I don't think it's 100% but I think it's better than nothing.
It should prevent droplets from the mouth flying too far when people cough or sneeze and that should help a bit.

Oh! Yes! In this case it is very effective! This last season, there were very few people with flu and doctors were quite idle!!

It does reduce the quantity or numbers of virus which would otherwise get into other people’s bodies. But it does not prevent the COVID19 infection. In European countries they found that a slow rate of spread of virus with low viral load actually helped people building up their antibody. That’s why they found lots of people with anti body when they were tested for the coronavirus. Not a single person under fifty years old died of this coronavirus!! That’s official report! Those younger people who died, they died with several other causes including COVID19. The present official or global statistics have been proved to be highly inaccurate and politicized!!

Take lots of vitamin C, zinc and D3!! Many medical staff took this combo and they never got infected by their patients!!

Cheers.

It looks like a beautiful day to take a ferry on the waterway.

Oh! Yes, we were very lucky with the weather as it has been rather grey and rainy during the past few days. It was a nice change of atmosphere for my friend too!

I am sure it was a lovely day.

Then you should visit Bangkok one day and take a boat trip along the river.
You’ll like this a lot!

Cheers.

I still have problem with the Title section of the layout of the new Dapp. I could not see what I was typing, so I have to reduce the title to three words!

Also, the tag section has a problem with iPhone6S Plus, they kept disappearing when I pushed Save the post.

It would be nice if I could write a whole sentence on the Title tap!

Thank you very much.

ok, we will add back title expanding like we used to have.

Thank you very much! That would make life much easier!

Oh! There’s one more thing.
I could not publish my post after I finished it. I had to go to the clock to publish it a few minutes later to solve my problem!

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Have a nice day!

Oh! I could not publish my post today.
It says ‘....internal error’

I could not publish my post via the clock/timer either!

Please help!

Thanks so much.

Internal error, might be server related. Have you tried to change server from Settings? After publish button click you got internal error?

Yes, after publish button I get the internal error message.

I don’t know how to reset the sever as I am on iPhone6 which is using the local service.

The tag section has a problem too.
When I press save message, I open to see the article, all tags were wiped off! That’s why I could not publish my post.

Then I tried retyping those tags and press publish, this time it says ‘internal error!’

Wonder if I could use the old app!

Oh! Good news! I change the sever to the third one! Now I could publish my post!

Thank you very much!

Sometimes there are server related issues, if it is in maintenance or just restarting, etc. Always good to try changing server first if doesn't help write to us, we will see if we can improve/fix that part of app. 🙇🌊

Don’t get bored yet!!

There must be a ghost or alien on your codes!!

Just now, there’s a message saying
‘The post is not available yet! Pull down to refresh’

But, it was there and I was commenting on it!

Cheers.

Yes 😀
That happens when there is no response from server.

The variety of boats and styles is truly incredible there. I think Southeast Asia will handle the pandemic fairly well. The diets are pretty healthy, most people spend enough time outdoors everyday, and everybody eats plenty of herbs.

Yep! You are right! Several articles in journals found the same conclusions that those elderly people who were beaten by the coronavirus were all deficient in vitamin C and D3 and zinc!
(Studies done in China and Italy!)

So, having a suntan session once a day is a very good idea! All those herbs are full of vitaminC and zinc!! We are so lucky!!

Cheers.

Beautiful sunny day, i walk at night now as seeing people with masks ruin my mood

Oh! I feel rather sad seeing people wearing masks without thinking seriously of their effectiveness! They are moved by FEAR and insecurity. They are being conditioned to become like unthinking robots!
