I had never heard of this brewery before I saw and bought this beer on my last run to Toppers Cellar in Helena, Montana. This is a Texas brewery but I read that they recently purchased a former Payette brewing facility in Idaho which is probably why it started showing up in Montana. This is a limited release brew, my first from them, I also bought their regular lager which maybe I should have had first but I just finished mowing the lawn and thought this might be better for a post mow beer.

The Can
This came in a 12 oz aluminum cam with black, silver, red and lime green colors, clearly a reference to the strawberry and lemon flavors. The front has the brewery name in big black letters with the beer name below, the strawberry lemon very small above Lager. The back has a G & O in black with Limited Edition in lime in a red background containing the description above.
The Beer
- Appearance: The beer poured out with a massive amount of foam, probably a function of the canning process and carbonation. The color was a light gold with a tinge of haze.
- Aroma: It had a slightly citrus aroma.
- Taste/Mouthfeel: LIght bodied with a higher amount of carbonation, not much taste in the mouth, a slightly flat finish. Minor tartness with a hint of lemon and no strawberry that I could decern. A bit dry/
- Drinkability: It was ok, certainly drinkable with a low abv and not much tart. Really the question would be how many would you be able to drink with the lack luster flavor.
Rating and Final Thoughts
I rated this at 2.5 on Untappd, where it has a 3.27 overall from about 800 raters. I found the beer to be kind of lackluster, not much taste, not really that tart, lots of carbonation, just kind of blah. Some might like it, but it would be those people who like Bud Light lime to be honest.
