RE: #BeerSaturday - Sessions with Shumei

in #beersaturdaylast month

Session for sure, starting with strong beers have proved to be a rather poor strategy when tasting beers, even though I developed a technique to write notes for my posts :) You can even spot a notebook and pen on some of my shots.

Anyways, how's your brew doing?

Oh boy our most recent double-hopped IPA was damn good. Packed a punch of hoppiness and ABV and didn’t last long. We have another ipa and a cream ale on the way.

Good for you :)) I wonder how the cream ale would turn out, it's not an easy style to brew. I've heard the trick is in the right lagering (sounds weird when you say that about ale).

It is not tough at all. We used 2-row barley and just add in some flaked corn for the creaminess and a bit of sweetness for the yeast to eat. Might have to review my own beer!

Is long as I cannot taste it in Europe, you should ;)
