#BeerSaturday - Stream Crossing from Bruery Terreux (USA)

I have to admit that I haven’t been drinking as much recently, although pubs reopen in my part of Australia next week (in a weird, only 20 people in them at a time sort of way) so I’m very much looking forward to getting back to a relaxing night at the pub.

Until then we are getting around to drinking the beer in the house. This one is a very special beer that my partner got me for my birthday which was about a month or so ago, and it’s been sitting in the fridge ever since.

Now I like sours and farmhouse ales and those classic barrel aged style so this beer from Californian Brewery – The Bruery Terreux (with help from Green Cheek Beer, also Californian) was always going to appeal.

Here’s how the brewer’s describe it:
For two breweries located in the middle of industrial warehouse zones, we brewed one hell of an old-world, rustic, farmhouse-style ale. Brewed with our friends at Green Cheek Beer Co., this experimental beer is a foeder-aged, mixed fermentation saison. They brewed wort, we brewed wort, then we got together and crossed them in the Foeder Forest at Terreux. Lightly tart, soft and complex – for as much fun as we had making this beer, we’re certain you’ll have even more fun drinking it

Here's how I would:
It poured a great yellow colour, so clear and almost luminescent, with a thin dense pure white head – really quite beautiful – if you were drawing a picture of a perfect beer, this might be it.

It had gentle carbonation, touching on velvety and maybe a hint of serbet.

The taste, as they described themselves was subtle and gentle but really multi layered and quite sophisticated.

All in all this was a really good beer, it would make a perfect replacement for wine in a fancy dinner or as we did with creamy brie cheese.

As always this beer review is part of #Beersaturday organised by @detlev, you can check out the details and the other entries here: https://peakd.com/beersaturday/@detlev/beersaturday-week-155

This looks delicious. I’ve seen this beer once before but did not buy it.

Cheers. Glad you were able to at least get your adult libations in :)
