My first Home Brew Bottled!!

IMG_8303.jpg
A while ago I wrote a post of me brewing my own beer, after fermenting for 2 weeks, it was time to bottle my own beer!! The number one rule for home brewing is to keep everything clean!! The photo below show me sanitizing my bottles, with a sanitizer.

Below is my bucket with beer, I fitted a tap with a length of plastic tube, to a normal 25 litter bucket to do the bottling.

Bottling is quite easy, just open the tap and let the bottle fill up. Before filling one must however add a small amount of sugar to each bottle, called priming, in order for carbonation to take place in the bottles.

Below you can see my 1st 15 bottles of beer, now I must wait another 3 weeks before it is ready for drinking - I can't wait to test my first home brew!!

Below is another shot of my first bottled beer!! It is an amazing feeling when you see your final product!! I am sure it will be even more amazing to taste the beer, I hope it came out good!!

I have decided to call my beer Rhino Beer as my name is Ryno pronounced Rayno in Afrikaans, but English people pronounce it as Rhino - thus Rhino is a good name for my beer.

I hope you liked my post as much as I enjoyed writing it!!

All photos were taken with my iPhone at my house in Pretoria, South-Africa.

@rynow,
Wow this is so great! Make your own beer and I think you can start a brewery too! Moreover than name also good for a beer! Feel like a Rhino! Unbeatable!

Cheers~

Yes, you never know where this can lead to, but for the moment, I am only brewing as a hobby.

How do you cap the bottles?

Now you have to think about the labels ;-)

I bought a small hand capper, it works quite easy.

Congrats on your progress for your Rhino Beer! I look forward for your updates for the taste.

2 Weeks to tasting, then I will make a post on it.

Cheers 🥂 with beers ...

Cheers.

I love it so much

What style of beer did you make? You should taste it while it is fresh, while it is bottle conditioning, and while it ages in the bottle to start developing a palette for what something will ultimately mature into as the beer ages.

Hi, I made a stout, I hope it comes out good!! Thanks for the nice comment and advice, I will soon brew my second brew, where I will try an oatmeal stout.

I have a favorite recipe, which is like a guiness but good. 23# marris otter, 2# flaked oats, 2# roasted barley. Ferment with something English or US04. I often serve it on nitro, but that isn't required. That recipe makes 15 gallons.

Amazing beer dear.

rhino beer ahaan cool bruh cheers 🍺 🍺

Thank you, cheers!!

Nice captured............dear, have you had beer store?

You beer looks quite nice and dark like a porter or a dark ale. I can't remember if you told us what you made? Just remember that I know how keen you will be to taste the first one but they do get better with age and last really well. I think I had some in storage for about a year and they still tasted good.

You are right, it is a stout I made, so far, I am still resisting the urge to open on - 2 weeks to go!!

Wooow delicious friend very beautiful good luck

Thank you.

Wow! Homemade beer! :)

I love their work ... Their beers seem like market outlets, I hope to see Rhino Beer labels now.

Oh incredible... Increasingly closer to the total product. Homemade beer, great.

I can't wait to open the first one!!

I like the name chosen, I feel we are facing a big business, your business!

Friend, how are you? your own beer that you should feel satisfaction, the standards of hygiene present to obtain a quality product, I hope with ancias that you tell me how is this taste
I congratulate you friend for the preparation of your homemade beer, greetings to your wife

I will certainly make a post when I taste the beer - still 2 weeks to go. Here everything is still going good, how are you?

Fighting friend every day with the hyperinflation that is in my country why steemit is a great help for the Venezuelans that we are here and your support for me is worth a lot

That is the one good thing of Steem, even though the value is currently low, it protects against inflation. I am thinking and praying for you and your fellow Venezuelans.

Thanks friend
