As you all know there is a big problem going on with Bitshares Munich and BlockPay. I would like to talk tomorrow in the mumble to explain what is going on, I will have witnesses in the mumble that were part of BlockPay and Bitshares Munich and that will like to step in so that everyone can know behind the scene issues and how everything can be solved. I hope I can talk with my team tomorrow because I would like the community to know the truth!
There are lot of problems on bitshares.It was working good before but now it sucks.I can't add favorites (Yellow stars),when i add some coin on my favorite list,the next day is gone.It's all scrambled.Sometimes i can't sort coins on their price,all scrambled again.Im not trading there until this is resolved,i don't have nerves for this.
The week has seen the Bitshares DAC turn a profit!! Meaning that income was higher than its expenses resulting in a lower BTS supply and more funding in the reserve pool (Used to pay witnesses and development).
BTS has been added to CHBTC, SZZC (Obits too) and Jubi.com
This week has seen China dominate the trading markets with 67% of trade occurring in CNY instead of BTC.
The total Smartcoin marketcap increased 62% this week to a total of 12.2 Million USD!
The Bitshares market broke 1 Billion USD market cap this week, it has dropped back 10% from that mark and is currently sitting at 900 Million USD in 10th place on the coinmarketcap leader board; with a single Bitshares being work 35 US cents.
@arhag has drafted a very comprehensive proposal to implement the 'account recovery' and 'locked savings accounts' to the Bitshares network.
The multisig-worker-2017-01 refunded 6.4 Million BTS valued at 2.24 Million USD back to the reserve pool as the Proposal is now completed.

Bitshares has been added to the 'Coin Market App' available from the google play store for Android mobile devices.
Ronny Boesing announced a partnership with Viewfin/Metaverse & upcoming ICOs.

Peerplays network has launched and the GUI wallet has been released.
The Bitshares Telegram group now has approx 1450 members!
We've got this massive reserve pool of funds to potentially fund development - it's literally in the hundreds of millions $ range!
Some may argue that users who fear BTS dilution will reject all worker proposals, however I believe this was only the case a couple years ago for Bytemaster due to political reasons. Given how less BTS will be distributed now due to the current marketcap, this may not be as serious of a concern anymore.
I feel that there are two things blocking worker proposal attempts:
Inability to create worker proposal via the GUI. (Bitshares-UI issue raised! --> svk31 has developed this feature, soon to be released!)
Having to create a worker proposal to request funds for potentially developing features for the Bitshares DEX. I feel that requesting payment may be a daunting task, putting users off. If we were able to create bounty proposals to advertise the need and support of a potential BSIP we'll successfully recruit developers. Thoughts?
After coming up with a great idea, or holding a discussion about a possible idea we need to make a habit of writing up a BSIP to get action going on new features.

TL;DR: HERTZ is an Algorithm based asset (MPA) on the BTS DEX, it's a work in progress (not live), it predictably oscillates the feed price using a sin wave, thus we create phases of buying and selling pressure constantly back and forth forever.
USD currently leading the poll for reference asset, followed by CNY. If this works, it'll be worth creating multiple HERTZ tokens for different reference assets, frequencies/amplitudes/period/etc.
I actually wrote a post today about the end to end transaction flow from STEEM to Bitshares to EUR. It seems like Polo is the preferred and most widely exchange people use (my assumption, I don't have statistics on that) but I think BitShares can do a much better job.
Maybe getting more awareness to use BitShares for these kind of tasks could be a discussion for the Hangout?
I was an AGS investor, remember having an opportunity to pay i think $100 or so at the time to have my name written in the genesis block (was too broke) really regret that. Knew it had been undervalued for ages, have been planning to scoop some up all year just never managed to put the money aside 😢
I notice a lot of UIA's being created with stock names such as "TOYOTA" "NASDAQ" "APPLE" etc. what are these peoples goal?.. to resell the UIA's name to the company if they want to join DEX??... Also we need another blockexplorer (or two) cryptofresh has been down a lot lately 🤖

Oh that is ok. Bitshares is an actual dex. Waves is a blockchain that has centralized order matching. This makes it obvious why bitshares has doubled in price since the market started realizing this :)

In the past I've felt that some topics dominate the hangout where as the beyondbitcoin hangouts are more moderated to cover the full agenda.
