This is awesome, first though a little history.

Biking has always been a major part of my life, and it started at an early age with various children’s bike, one of the first was a Raleigh models, The Striker in blue and yellow, followed by a Raleigh Styler model n white with Mags, black ones at that.

I’d never wondered why I was so fond of cycling…why? Well my grandad who lived on the Isle of Man, yes the famed TT location, used to race on 3 geared bike around the Island, he’d ask his mum Amy what prize would you like, then he’d stay in that position, that’s some belief your in abilities, no wonder I know what I can achieve 😆😊 His crowning achievement was overtaking a course car doing 50mph, the sheer thought freaks me out. In his career he won many accolades including Gold medals.

A rather impressive cycling career, back to me - I moved into mountain bikes in my 20s with a Tushingham B52 a lovely bike, over the years I moved to Santa Cruz a Chameleon, that we still have, my first hard tail.

It was always too small for 6.3ft me but I loved it so much I made it work.

Over time my friends bikes got better and better, and the trails we rode got more advanced no longer local trails, places like Arnside Knott and that was brief - their bikes got more advanced Kona, BMC etc.

It was time for a full suspension by this time we were riding trails in Scotland, Glen Tress, Innerleithen and Wales - a Red Bull track near Brecon, North Face in Grizedale.

I chose a Sun S1, a beautiful bike then disaster struck…TBC

It's funny I just bought a "second hand" bike and this morning it's the first time I go to work with 11 km, pretty cool... We'll see on the way back 😀.
Otherwise cool mountain bike, especially electric it must help for the climbs.

Have a great day

Very nice, I love cycling - I did stop for 7 years or so. That’s the next part of the story, and yes the fact you have to pedal is what really works for me.

Neat bike! I see more and more electrical bikes lately.
You might be interested in the Cycling Community I think.

For all cycling related blogs!

Oo yes we’d love to join, thank you

I wondered about an E-Mountain bike and built my own about 17 years ago. And back then I used AGM batteries lol.

Wow, well ahead of the curve, I would love to see that

Yeah I used to get a lot of interest in it back then. Unfortunately I've not been able to find any photos of it anymore.

Where did it go?

I passed it on when I moved interstate a few years ago. I ended up putting lithium batteries on it and it performed much better.

Oh, thank you
