complete guide for ICO - picking, participating, money making

ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is a new system in the cryptocurrency market that allows company's that want to raise money and awareness by having direct access to the investors and selling coins or tokens that are produced on the name of the company. some of the company's will bring to their ICO's already ready products, some will come only with idea. The investment in any ICO should be made after deep research and not witthout thought. Some of the investments will bring profit after a few days or weeks, some may bring profit after a year. The important thing to my opinion is to go with a company that offers you something that you relate and connect to.

But how to pick? Where to start? How do you get the information that will give you the edge that you need for a smart and profitable investment? Have no fear, the answers are near :)

Picking The Right ICO

So you Decided to invest and you want to get started and you need to pick your ICO. There are few websites that can help you do just that. You've got a few options online (IVOAlert or CoinDesk for example, feel free to add more in the comments if you got good ones) But my favorite one is ICObech

If you will Scroll down the front page of icobench you will see the ICO calendar that allows you to see the upcoming ICO's, runing ICO's and close to finish ICO's. Click on the "browse all" will take you to the complete list of ICO's where you can see the dates for the ICO and the rank that was given to the ICO. Click on the wanted ICO will give you the following information

  1. Name of the company and the technology that they are developing
  2. ICO's grades (general, ICO, team, vision and product)
  3. Time until ICO start\end
  4. Name of the token\coin
  5. Price of the token\coin (in order to know the price per coin you most know the trading price of the big coins like BTC or ETH because this will be the coins that will allow you to buy into the chosen ICO)
  6. Bonus (Not always available)
  7. The platform that the company accept as payment method
  8. The coin that the company accept as payment method (some will accept FIAT payment method's)
  9. the minimum\maximum amount defined by the company as target (depend when you looking at the ICO)
  10. Amount raised so far
  11. Origin country of the company

In this page you will also have a short YouTube video that present the company and their vision in a few minutes. Like what you see and want to know more? no problem. Right under the origin country of the company you will have a green button that say "more on ICO". Don't be afraid to push that button :)

This page, or different versions of it, is what you will usually see when you go into any ICO's website. Here you will be able to see exactly how much time you have until the beginning or the end of the ICO (1). Here you will also be able to see exactly how much money was raised and how much there is still left to raise until the max cap.

It is very important to go over the road map that the company publish. The road map is how the company see' it's on growing, when they will start trading on the verity of different exchanges, when they will have the product ready etc. It is very important because that will determine what kind of investment it will be. If, for example, you see that the ICO finish in a few days time but the listing to the exchanges is far away it means that you will probably will need to wait a bit until you will be able to have the profit in your pocket. Do your research, people. DO NOT invest money, FIAT or crypto, without doing your full and complete research on that point!

In the print screen above you can see an example for a typical road map for an ICO. Some will be more detailed and will see longer into the future then others. is that something to take in consideration when picking an ICO? To my opinion yes, but i leave it to you guys to do your research and form your own opinion on that matter.

I also like to check on the team the actually runing the ICO and the company. In every ICO website you will be able to find a page that show's the team of the company, links to their Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms they might be using. One of the biggest adventures in my opinion is the option to use the "Telegram" app to actually talk and get in touch with the company owners themselves. If this is not getting directly to the top then i dont know what getting to the top is. Here is an example for a typical "team" page on an ICO website.

Now let me give you 2 very good example of why i think this market is just warming up, and how you can make alot of money by doing your research, and i will start with a personal example.
A few month's ago i noticed an ICO for a coin named neblio. after looking into the (then)small company, i liked the team, the product and the technology that was presented to me and i decided to sign up and buy coins, the amount is not the important thing. i got on the ICO early and with bonus that was offered it came out to 17 cents per coin. the print screen below show you that it was worth around 0.6 USD.

pools.png

the ICO was over on September 12 2017. at the print screen below you can see that today the coin worth 8.40$ per single coin, when it was picked at over 10$. you talking about thousands percent of profit. Just how many? You do the math, you need yo know your numbers in this market, so you better start practice ;)

pools.png

But forget about me, i'm doing this for some time now, and belive me when i tell you that not every ICO gives the same resoults the neblio gave. want the best reason in the world to put your ass down and start to work? Just take a good look at the next chart.

pools.png

Here you can see that at Jan 1st 2013 the market cap mas 10.7 billion USD, fast forward to the future, its Jan 1st 2017 and now the market cap is already 17.7 billion USD, that means that in 4 years the market cap grow in 7 billions USD. not bad, you must admit, but its nothing compare to next piece of information: from 1.1.2017 until 1.1.2017 the market cap grew to 713.5 billion USD, and yes, its not a mistake. feel free to go to coinmarketcap and see for yourself.

Now, i'm not claiming to be the biggest business man in the world, but i don't see why any investor would like to mass on a market that explode like that. the possibilities are endless.

I really hope that i gave you something to think about and some materials to work with, and if you already know your ICO's, i hope that was a good refresh and maybe even a small reminder.
