Thanks, i followed your guide for my exodus wallet. Also I managed to export my private keys from electrum wallet and made sure to send my BTC to my ledger nano s before using the electron cash wallet (www.electroncash.org) and importing my keys. All went well.
Read some guides suggesting to uncheck auto server selection in electron cash wallet, and warnings about lots of sites using the confusion to fool users into downloading the wrong BCC wallets with similar looking domain names.
I tried to minimize any risks by also using a virtual machine to install the electron cash wallet, just in case. But it all worked fine in the end.
