Vladimir Putin backs Bitcoin and fake Satoshi sued for $10 BILLION?!

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Hey guys, Doug Polk here back for more Crypto News. Today we discuss:

  • Vladimir Putin backing cryptocurrency regulation
  • Mobile app acquires cryptocurrency exchange Poloniex
  • Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, is being sued for $10 billion over stolen Bitcoin

Let me know what you guys think.

Sort:

Putin want's to support bitcoin, because because bitcoin is a real threat to Federal Reserve.

Les poutines, nous au Québec, on les mange :D

I don't know what it is... but I can't help but sort of like Putin... Am I the only one? He's just a badass. I'll admit that I don't know much about the "bad stuff" that he has done, so I'll plead ignorance on that. I just like to hear him talk.

You think Obama was sqeaky clean. Us Media loves to portray Putin as a bad guy. He is the leader of a powerful country that stands in the way of US foreign policy ambitions in the ressource rich middle east. And he is also helping Venezuela. G W Bush who sent Iraq on a path of war, chaos and destruction has never ever been portrayed as the bad guy. America is like a guy living in a glass house who likes to throw stones.

I feel the exact same way.

Um...Then look up the bad shit he's done...kind of a cold blooded murderer and that fact isn't really debatable...

@muppetdingdong Has Putin ever denied it?
Putin was a Intelligence operative at the highest levels. No doubt he was involved in all kinds of things. Put yourself in his position, imagine you get intel about a Russian agent who is selling secrets to country x, tell me you wouldn't have him killed asap?
The truth is people don't really want to know what it takes to protect our countries because if they ever found out it would shatter their belief system.

Oshi! Doug Polk dropping more puns than nuns in the vaticun

Charlie Lee is 100X smarter than Craig. Never bear the burden of being the creator of a digital asset that is uber volatile in nature and poses a direct threat to the existing banking system. Just imagine the kind of death threats a creator will get every time his coin takes a wild ride to the downside.

Ich hasse es wenn dass Deutsche Wort "über" von Englischsprachigen falsch benutzt wird. Nur weil es 1million mal so benutzt wird macht es noch lange nicht korrekt. Why not simply say "very". By the way the German word for very is not über, it's sehr.

Nice video @dougpolkcrypto, crazy portfolio project you got going there. Looking forward to seeing how this develops. Your podcast channel is awesome, I'm looking forward seeing Charlie Lee on your show. Also, I'm excited about the interview with Richard Heart, he is a very interesting person and the interview has huge potential to deliver a controversial discussion. 😎 Thanks for your content & keep up the good work!

Haha, you can't make this stuff up 😆

Keep up the great work Doug - really enjoying your videos 👍

This would be big news if Putin said "Bitcoin" but he didn't, he said blockchain. Also, this speech was from back in July and is not new at all. Stay informed my friends.

Thank you for pointing this out. Came here to say the same thing.

I am intrigued by the Russian government investment in blockchain education for aspiring programmers. They see an opportunity and are seizing it. US Dollar dominance is at risk... then again, fiat currency is at risk.

Why should a Guatamelan who is buying from China as we all do pay the Chinese in US dollars, why should a Swiss sell his chocolate to a Japanese in US dollars, why should a Russian pay a German in US dollars for German cars?
It is illogical to use American currency in transactions not involving America. Crypto currencies offer a way out of this.

It has a lot to do with internal finance teams at large multinationals. Ive been on such teams and trying to manage multiple currencies was a pain in the ass and lead to many complications. The US Dollar was/is seen as a stable benchmark. Look at the value fluctuation of the Japanese yen in 2013-2015. A wild ride for my business unit who had costs in USD but made sales in JPY. Profit margins were always fluctuating. Made it hard to evaluate the business for shareholders/investors.

Blockchain does not equal Bitcoin. Up vote for you.

I see President Putin as a long-term, stable leader, who is cautious with his words and actions.

It is quite feasible that President Putin will authorize Russian crypto and/or openly accept Bitcoin and the alt coins. I would love to hear him even say the "B" word, and to support it would be great.

If or when a Russian cryptocoin is put on the market, I will invest in it; and I think many, many people worldwide will do it as well.

Awsome @dougpolk you should check out @crypto-decoded solid videos and in it for the viewers no ponzi schemes

Things are changing in Russia for blockchain and cryptocurrencies. More ICOs are coming, governament works on regulation, comunity and state banks unite to go further than DAICO in protecting investors. https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryptohumster/how-not-to-step-on-a-landmine-while-investing-in-ico-comparative-analysis-of-new-platforms
