When should you tell everyone about crypto?

in #bitcoin5 years ago

During the bubble of 2017 it was simple telling everyone about crypto. The prices were rising and everyone was interested. Bitcoin was in the media all the time. But most of the people that got into bitcoin then have lost most of their money and are now very sceptical of the crypto space.

Right now the situation is the exact opposite. Most people think that bitcoin is a crazy scam and that they should stay far away from it. Or they think it is dead and everyone has given up. But we are probably a good way through the bear market and things will likely look better in the future. The fundamentals are stronger than ever and it is likley the last chance for ordinary people to buy whole bitcoins.
People that join now will find a flourishing space and likely stay in the long run.

Now is the time to annoy everyone with bitcoin. I know that it can be hard, everyone will assume that you are a delusional fool that lost a lot of money in 2017. But only now is the time you should be trying to pay everyone in bitcoin.

But history will likely repeat itself. We told people to buy bitcoin at 300$, at 1000$ at 3000$. Nobody cared. Then when bitcoin is at 20000$ they ask us how to buy bitcoin -.-.

This!, you will not help them by pushing them into a bull run. That's what I have learned from 16/17 and end of 17. Being part of the run is not hard. Not being stupid is hard, even if you are intelligent. People started to believe in Chart Analyses. They started to see patterns in random charts. They start to spent money. A friend lost 20k of coins on a laptop stolen on a house party. Later he spend the rest - 40k on a dating/porn site. He couldn't explain me how it happened. WTF. I was so angry because he pushed me into crypto and later into steemit. Maybe one day I can give something back, but for now one should concentrate not to get sucked into the dirty world of prices, hype and money.
