What a Day in Crypto!
Could this be the pullback that has been predicted? How far down will the price of Bitcoin go? I am Hodling but will start buying more soon. Chinese exchanges like BTCC closing will hurt the price of Bitcoin in the short term but not for long. As soon as I see good support in the market I will be buying again.
The news out of Russia is positive. "No Sense in Banning Cryptocurrencies’, Says Russia’s Finance Minister."
My Move this Morning.
I bought more Steem. The reason is simple. Steem and Steemit will not be hurt by these regulations in the long run. Steem has also been much higher priced in Bitcoin. I believe we will see a spike in the price of Steem and in users soon.

Steem is at bargain price. All what matters in this situations, is this a correction or crash. Bitcoin will be under pressure short term, but this corrections are necessary so we could go to new highs.

HODL is the best option! We all knew a pullback was coming! It had to at some point! This may be a nice entry point for those looking to DCA. I think staying long Steem is a great idea!

Yes, very true.. This is another great opportunity provided by china to buy some cheap crypto's and Bitcoins. Bearish market will be there but for short term. Definitely buying Steem and more importantly storing in SBD for short term may be fruitful.
I have a bad feeling about this. I think China forces the BTC price down so it can buy more supply, gaining more influence on the market. We all know China is the second ( if not the first) currency manipulator. Prices will go up again, but it will face a stronger regulation in the future.
You should never panic, you must wait.

I'm sensing a concerted effort from many different directions attacking the crypto space in general. I think TPTB may be trying to cripple it and keep those on the fence from jumping on. If that's correct, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
I also feel it will get worse before it gets better. My eyes are on Mid October and the Chinese meeting.

Why would I sell my precious btc for flammable paper or dodgy numbers on a computer screen that bears no relation to any personal value of mine?
These rises and falls are par for the course when countries like China have little meltdowns after realising they're losing RMB through crypto channels. But soon enough they'll concede their vain attempts to control the sucking out of their RMB value
On the other side of the coin, I wouldn't put it past high level Chinese big wigs to be orchestrating this whole thing. Only because it feels like Deja vu from the beginning of 2014. Are they hoarding every time there's a dip?
Also, the Chinese national congress is coming up shortly, and it's traditional that before these, ass-kissing party members look seen to be doing their commie duties like stamping out imperialist ideas, media,anti-China rhetoric.
But who bloody well cares? I'm hodling no matter what.
Now is the time to BUY. Of course hold. What do you buy BTC with? When the entire market moves in lockstep downward relative to dollars, its best to spend the $ you have on BTC. I'm not sure how many of you are able to completely avoid earning fiat, but I'm not among you yet and I'm scraping my savings for buying now.
Indeed - I did buy a few days ago..with fiat. There's a btc atm close to where I'm at, so whenever the 'price is right' I'll slip a couple of notes in. Better than a certain loss on the horses ;)

What is the state of new Steem coin issuance these days? I've certainly heard some criticism of how things used to be, but I'm guessing that is old news with so many hard forks.

In general, it's strange that those who have recently quietly predicted a temporary pullback of the bitcoin price, now because of this expected rollback began to panic.
BTC prices have jumped and fell, same with STEEM. The same still goes for me: HODL :P

Time to convert fiat to btc
The China market is having a massive effect. It might be too late to sell now, but you can always rebuy at the bottom. BTC will always be around. Remember it was under 1,100 this year.
