Regardless of when you joined this exciting adventure in global paradigm shift called crypto-currencies, you probably know the markets are very volatile.
Certainly, we are still in the early stages, and fiat is losing value by the day, by the truckload of new currency being created by central banks the world over.
It sometimes takes a cast iron stomach to just buy and hold, or HODL.
Havven is a system out of Australia, intent on creating a token that doesn't fluctuate as wildly as other cryptos right now.
If it takes off, you'll be able to use it in the same way as Tether, or BitUSD (in BitShares) when the markets turn down. Keep in mind, Tether is in hot water and has lost the public trust.
Obviously, if you go that route, Uncle Sam wants their unfair share, as opposed to just buying and holding, but that's another matter. And it may be different in other countries.

There's no risk, so long as you go through their actual website, and you use an ETH public key (not a private key). I just created a new MEW wallet for this.
