Yes, lot's of media reports are written unburdened by further knowledge.
But - again - what concerns me regarding Bitcoin is the tsunami of unconfirmed transactions. The last week told everone who wants to know: even a pre-taste of mainstream adoption makes Bitcoin collapse.
Will the shift from Bitcoin to better altcoins be followed by a shift away from blockchain to better technology?
This technology is so young @rockwellontherun my feeling having been involved in this technology for almost 3 years is Bitcoin will remain the 'mothership' for awhile.
New alt-coins will possibly become more easy to handle with lower charges and faster movement. This would be ideal when one of the crypto currency coins show ease of use throughout the world.
My advice remains, research and see if the coin is going to add value to people or business and stick with those that have good reason to remain.

Absolutely correct. Far too young at this point which works to the advantage of life and growth for it. I've heard that coinbase has 2.5 million new users coming in next week alone or trying to... that's US based ..... what about the rest of the world? Let's say these numbers continue throughout exchanges around the world over the next couple of years and half of them buy into BTC............ far from over.
The media is dying to claim that it's dead... it's what everyone wants to hear... all the people who didn't trade (most people) will feel good about themselves...

Half full, half empty, flat or round, it is all a matter of YOUR perspective I have come to find. As long as our glass has something in it, flat or round doesn't really matter right now. I totally agree. I would be much more nervous about a bubble if people within didn't have some level of profit taking with the ridiculous surge it has had in the recent history. 1000% or more on an in initial investment picking BTC at $1k or less is a pretty salty return, and you would almost have to be out of your mind to not have pulled at minimum your basis in this investment. Again right on total agreement here.
