How to get all cryptocurrency WALLETS in ONE single wallet?

in #bitcoin8 years ago (edited)

Hi all STEEMIANS,

Today a guy asked me as to how he can get a wallet which can store both ethereum and bitcoin, and I realized that most of the people don't even know how to effectively store their cryptocurrency.

So I am preparing this guide so that you all can know which is the easiest way to get all cryptocurrency in one wallet.

Step - 1 : -

Go to Poloniex.com and register an account their. There is no verification unless you have more than 2000$. Now those who don't know what poloniex is it is a cryptocurrency exchange.

After registering follow step - 2.

Step - 2 :-

After opening an account go to "Balances > Deposits & Withdrawals". There you go, you now have a wallet in which you can store 64 CRYPTOCURRENCY and also you can exchange any cryptocurrency for BTC easily.

Things to keep in mind while using poloniex:
-It can be hacked.
-account can be tampered with.

The whole purpose of Crypto Currencies is to cut out the Middle man! You don't want anybody to be in between you and your wealth! So holding your Cryptos on Exchanges is probably the worst thing you can do!

If you are holding a wallet you probably be holding on sites like coinbase, zebpay, etc, they are also a kind of middlemen, The only way that you can get direct control is by getting the BITCOIN CORE wallet or ELECTRUM wallet, which is not good as it can be accessed only from one PC/Mobile. and if you lost your Mobile or your PC gets corrupted all your BTC are gone.

It’s always a bad idea to store cryptocurrencies on online exchanges. Ever heard of Mt. Gox?

exchanges are vulnerable to hacking so its not a good idea to keep all your assets on exchanges ......but gr8 post totally appreciate your work

This is probably the worst advice you could give. People should never store their investments in exchange sites, especially on Poloniex. Check out their subreddit. A lot of people still waiting for their withdraw for over a month.

I personally trade on poloniex.com and my withdrawal more than 100+ are successful up to now and are processed within 24 hr.
