Go short on IBM stock tomorrow, on the basis of their Internet of Tomatoes advertising

Great Carnac answer: blockchain running an Internet of Tomatoes project

Great Carnac question: what happens when you have a well funded marketing department, that knows a few cool buzzwords, but doesn't really understand what type of projects their companies technology is best applied to?

With full respect to the late great Johnny Carson and his "divining mystic from the East".

Youtube below is for the viewing pleasure of the millenials that I have lost in the introduction, LOL.

Note please that the attached bit passed the PC police back in the day, despite the reference to "gay swine" as an insult.  In today's PC environment, Johnny would have been tossed off the air for a couple of weeks for that comment.

SIS, BOOM, BAH

So we have IBM spending lots of money running an ad explaining how IBM's investment in blockchain technology is going to help tomato farmer's succeed with their Internet Of Tomatoes (IOT) project.

Good gravy (ARGHHHH !!!)

I know that ad came out of the marketing department. But is there no integrity whatsoever in trying to invent moderately reasonable scenarios for the types of projects where blockchain could be helpful, applicable and relevant?

As a suggestion for the IBM marketing department, please review material below before making your next ad about IBM blockchain.  Could help to make sure your blockchain project references will pass muster.

I feel like we need to ananlzye and react instead of assuming and ignoring little things which potentially leads to failure

IBM = International Business Machines. Do they make any machines anymore? Should it be International Bullshit Manufacturer?
