My father used to say 'you have 2 ears and 1 mouth - use them in that proportion' (in other words, listen before you speak). I try to apply a similar principle online (think before i type), although that doesn't always stop me from making an ass out of myself...
I have never heard that saying before, it's very good, I need to keep that in mind. But I do like to babble a lot ;)
