For profit prison is on my mind this morning. In America we have the highest number of prison population in the world.
A few yrs back. One of my sons friends called. he was in Oklahoma. I will call him Ben incase some know him. Ben was sent to jail for 30 days for 10 dollars. What happened Ben and someone he knew were driving around. Stopped to get gas. The other kid went in and paid. He did not pay. So Ben spent 30 days in jail. He did called for help. By the time we got a check in the mail , he was sentenced.
He was out of permeant work and picking up odd jobs. He came back to Ma. Ben has not had any trouble since.
