I just wish there's a way to separate the bots, the "dead" followers from the active followers. I know I have more bots than followers. Just dunno how to get the actual number of followers.

Yep, reallyyyy annoying giving people an inflated sense of importance. It creates so many bloated egos, but when you think about it, everybody almost personally knows the most 'famous' users on the platform. It would be the equivalent engaging with Mark Zuckerberg on a daily basis. When the biggest users have less than 100,000 followers, and 70% of them don't actually engage in your existence... kinda puts things into perspective
You nailed it! So I'm never swayed by the numbers knowing about 90% may be bots :)
Yeah, we're seeing a lot of bloated follower numbers here on Steemit already, but I guess all social networks and content publishing website has the same problem. I often see YouTubers with millions of subscribers, but barely get 500k views on their videos, so they also suffer from some of the same issues over there.
True, I see such too. Guess it's something we'd have to live with.
Yeah, it probably is.
It would actually be pretty interesting to have the "followers" metric changed to "active followers" metric, and count the amount of people who have been active in the last 30 days or something like that!
