Some more creative flow

Hi, guys!

Today I need to get around to filming some videos for my blog, though, naturally, I don’t really feel like it—I slept poorly last night and woke up already feeling tired. Still, I need to record at least a few videos so I don’t end up feeling stressed later. I haven’t decided exactly what those videos will be yet, so I think I’ll start by grabbing a coffee and relaxing a bit; then, I’ll figure out my specific plan for the day. I won’t be doing much in the way of adding new text; instead, I’ll likely go through what I’ve already written to smooth out any inconsistencies and weed out words I tend to overuse. I’ve adopted a practice where, after finishing a substantial chunk of writing, I go back over it to ensure the prose stays—well, "alive" and "vibrant." (I used the word "alive" twice there, but in different senses—it’s hard to explain, but for me, they carry distinct meanings!) So, today will be dedicated to editing existing material rather than generating new content. It’s a necessary step to keep a pulse on what’s already been written—essentially, editing work that has already been edited once before. Even though it can be a bit frustrating not to see the word count grow, this process is absolutely essential. So, today I’ll focus on what needs to be done, and I truly hope I’ll find a great deal of enjoyment in it, too.

First things first, I’m going to grab a coffee to get my morning off to a good start. The coffee shop closest to my place is rarely open these days, so I’ll have to head to one a bit further away—but a morning walk like that will do me good anyway. I’ve been trying to get out of the house every day, even if just for a short stroll, just to have the sense that I’ve been out and about. I really need to start taking longer walks and bringing the dogs along, but I haven’t quite managed to organize that yet. Over the next few days, I want to regroup and finally start doing what I just mentioned—taking those longer walks with the dogs—because it would be beneficial for both them and me. Right now, I just don’t have the energy for it, but I’m hoping that will change soon, as it’s something that truly needs to be done. At the moment, I’m so focused on my writing work that I simply lack the time and energy for anything else. Still, I need to make sure I find the time, as it’s essential for staying a healthy author throughout the entire writing process. Since I’ve mentioned before that I have a very large series planned—one that will take years to write—taking care of my health is an absolute must. It’s something I’m obligated to do to ensure everything turns out for the best.

Actually, things are going better than they might have—the blog is alive and well, and I’m receiving offers for new collaborations, which is just wonderful. I’ve managed to build it up to the point where it practically runs on its own, but it still needs my attention to keep that momentum going. So, I need to stay focused on it, too. Of course, what I’d really like is to just take a break—a break from writing, a break from the blog—but that’s not an option right now, so I have to keep juggling everything. Also, I want to make a video about my book today; my token allowance has refreshed, and since I didn’t use about 2,000 of them last month—a full fifth of the total—I really need to put them to use. It would be a shame to let them go to waste, so I should make the most of them.

Well, that’s pretty much the gist of it. I’m going to go change my clothes now, and then I’ll grab a coffee before I start working. I also want to take a couple of hours today to just lie down and watch a movie—I really need to take my mind off things, and this feels like a good way to do it. There’s a movie I keep seeing all over TikTok, so I’ve decided to finally watch it just to see what all the fuss is about. It sounds like a solid plan, and I’ve definitely earned a bit of relaxation. I also need to stop by the post office to pick up a few packages that have been waiting there for a while; I’ll need to film an unboxing for those, too. So, I’ve got plenty to do—some things I’ll get to today, others I’ll tackle tomorrow—and that’s how I’ll keep moving forward, one step at a time. In the meantime, have a wonderful day, everyone!
