A Month on The Road With A Nomadic Family!!!!

The highs and lows, The tos and fros, Come and see what an
average month looks like for a travelling family.

Because we live in a tinyhouse on wheels we can
afford the luxury of travelling, a lot!

The following is a snapshot of our latest adventures
over the last month, please enjoy.

IMG_20170925_102707.png

Finland.

Finland was a surprise as we never planned on going there but taking unexpected detours are what makes travelling so much fun!

The best part about Finland for us was all the nature,
WE LOVE MOTHER NATURE!!!

Germany.

From Finland we took the boat over to Germany to see some friends
and have some work done on our tinyhouse truck.

20170925110154_img_20170829_10.jpg

Germany had a lovely mix of nature, friends, ice cream and very efficient Mercedes mechanics.

Denmark, Copenhagen.

We had so much fun in Copenhagen, this is our most favourite city in the whole world and
if you haven't been then I would highly recommend that
you jump on a plane tomorrow and check it out.

IMG_20170901_143342.jpg

Copenhagen LINK, Freetown Christiania LINK.

We are far from your average tourist which is why we love Copenhagen so much because it's far from your average city.

IMG_20170925_102707.png

The Netherlands, Amsterdam.

We wouldn't usually come to a city like this but it just felt
right to come here and do a Steemit Roadshow.

20170925113901_IMG_20170903_141919_1.jpg

Amsterdam was fun but we soon realised that maybe we should have come here before we had kids to really enjoy all that Amsterdam has to offer :)

France, Paris.

We spent a few days in Paris, partly because of the steemit roadshow
but also to show the kids the world-famous Eiffel Tower,
part of the reason we chose this lifestyle is so our children
get to see the world, instead of reading
about it in a school textbook.

We really enjoyed Paris but on the second day we notice our children yearned for
some nature, they started asking us to find a patch of grass to sit on,
when we found this little patch of man-made nature
we soon realised our children are not city kids.

Orgiva in Andalucia, Spain.

After the hustle a bustle we headed for calmer seas, we went straight to our friends land in Orgiva, This is a very special place for many reasons and I shall reveal all in a lengthy post in a week or two.

More Orgiva posts to come :)

IMG_20170925_102707.png

Is it possible to go on holiday whilst travelling?.

Believe it or not there is a difference, when you go traveling you do things, see things and try to explore as much as possible, but when you go on holiday you sit around in the sun with friends and family and try to do as little as possible. We travel a lot but going on holiday is something we dont do that often, so when my Mum said that the whole family were going on holiday we decided to take a 6hr drive from Orgiva to goin them.

So there you have it, a month on the road with a nomadic family and although I said highs and lows, tos and fros, to be 100% honest we have not had a single low since we left Sweden, when you live like this there is very little to moan about, it's a very heathy, happy lifestyle for the whole family, we are living, exploring and learning together
and that's what life is all about.

In a week we will be going back to Orgiva to do a steemit conference and go to a huge party, then we shall start heading towards Portugal where we will attend Steemfest and then find some land to start an eco community, so be sure to stay tunned in with the tinyhouse family where the adventure never ends.

Peace and love to the World.

This is really what life is all about! You are leading the real life which everyone should be leading btw.
You are free, have a healthy lifestyle and no stress. The smile on your kids faces say it all.
Bravo my friend!
Looking forward to that Orgiva post!

So happy to see your family happy! Isn't funny that they want to say that you are not taking care of your children in the times when they are having best times of their life! One day when go by Croatia, send me message and we can meet up if you want.

Does your wife have Steemit account also or you are covering it for whole family?

Hello @cmoljoe yes they have the nerve to say we are abusing our children for not sending them to be programmed at school.
My wife doesn't steem yet, but I am thinking to open another account when we start our eco community.

This is one of the best comments I’ve yet read on Steemit

part of the reason we chose this lifestyle is so our children get to see the world, instead of reading about it in a school textbook.

You all inspire my family. 😊 Thank you for sharing this recap. I enjoyed every bit of it!

Thank you @crosheille it feels great to know we are inspiring people, we think that you and your family are also a huge inspiration to people, you put your family first and that's what counts.

Thank you for swinging by and blessing us with your wonderful comments :)

Bless.

The pleasure is always mine. 😊 Thank you for your kind reply~

Awesome post, awesome adventures! I agree that Amsterdam would've been best enjoyed before kids, but I'd say the same for Christiania in Copenhagen. A very interesting part of that city, but wouldn't think it's too kid-friendly in a lot of areas...

Look forward to your next post from Spain :)

Thank you @adventureevryday
Believe it or not despite all the bad press Christiania gets i have never felt unsafe there and I have been there about 30times. part of it are very calm and ideal for kids.

I'm glad you enjoyed this post :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah I didn't feel unsafe there either and even walked directly through the green light district, which was weird for sure, but not threatening. And I really enjoyed going to the top of the church tower there, that was cool! Just thought it might be a sort of strange place for kids to be exposed to, but that's how they learn things I guess.

Cheers!

very good

There is a very cool camping in Amsterdam in case you ever end up there with a truck with children etc.

this is a great post
follow me plz

Hi friend nice to meet you again, and happy to hear from you that you all are enjoying much. You are a genius father your kids learn more from experience its a very fruitful education. The pictures and kids are so beautiful, wish you all good luck and good health, stay blessed friend happy steeming.

Thank you @maya7

I really enjoy your feedback and I appreciate it very much, you have a genuine, kind heart.

Bless.

Can't believe that it's only been a month since we both left Sweden! Alot has happened in that month. I agree with you about the difference between traveling and Holliday. We often have to explain that we are not on vacation but travel as a lifestyle, big difference but sometimes hard to explain.

Ha, difficult to explain indeed, you get stuck trying the holliday way because my official explanation would be to be in a holliday of a holliday of another holliday. I don't expect you to understand this so yes, travelling as a life style is the way :-)

Yes @fanstaf it seems that it's been a jam packed month for both of us.
Yes I see a big difference between traveling and holiday, and I must say I prefer traveling.

Bless.

Hey Mark, great reading a post of you again. Seems like you made all the right decisions and you and your family are enjoying yourselfs. Indeed it seems like your children prefer nature above city. Which is a good thing also!

Thank you @s3rg3, we truly believe we are on the right path and the more we do it, the happier we get as a result.

Thanks for stopping by my friend.

Bless

Nice to follow, you are reaching the parts i am very interested in now. Was in Orgiva long time ago and we would love to check it out again. If I recall, this is the time the Dragonfest is happening, omg the wildest freeparty i ever attended. This is also where i met with my current girlfriend, she left her mercedes van behind there, still in use... Lots of memories, will be eager to pick them up again with your coming stories. If you would pick up something about English schools going on there, please put it the post. Cheers mark, enjoy!

Yes @bubke Orgiva is a very special place, it's calmed down since the dragonfest days, everyone is growing food and doing yoga now. :)

There are some alternative schools here but they are not official so I'm not sure if they will let me reveal all but I will ask them if I can do a post about it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Bless.

Such a beautiful family!!! Watching your pics make me feel so good because they are full of happyness. Thanks for share a bit of you with us ^_^

Thank you @silviabeneforti I am glad we could bring some happiness into your day.

Bless.

That was a fun post to go through :D
Those friends of yours in Spain took one hell of a place to live :O

Thanks for such a detailed story of your travels with some great photography too. Although I don't live in a 4 wheel home, I too never go on holiday. I never sit around, but am always walking about, so I guess I travel too. 😃

Thank you @dmcamera for reading and commenting on this post. I must say after 4days of holiday I can't wait to get out there and start traveling again. :)

You are welcome! I keep joking (only half) with my husband about selling up and traveling for the rest of our retirement years. There is so much of the USA and Canada that i still want to see.

Amazing!
Following to get more Orgiva's post!

Great @toofasteddie, back in Orgiva next week, stay tuned :)

I hope that one day I can take our offspring to travel and learn. We currently do not plan to put our little people in school, nor are they registered as chattel. It makes life a bit difficult, but hey. It's worth it.

Hello @knownassam we wish now that we never registered our children, I knew about the registering scam back then but I didn't see any other option as we travel so much,
We didn't send our eldest to school last month and the school threatened to have our child put in Foster care, lucky for us our house has wheels :)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us :)

I have heard of some folks able to get a passport for their kids without a birth certificate.

Good luck on your travels.
I'll be following your posts.

I aspire to live this kind of life with our own kids someday! How much fun and happiness you all seem to be having! And what wonderful memories you have to hold onto. I wish there were more Steem meet ups and Steemfest's in my area in Colorado... Who hosts the ones you are going to? I'd love to check out their links and contact them on how they are doing all that.

Thank you @jayjayjeffery, we are convinced this is one of the best ways to bring up a family, after 4 years it just get better and better.

Steemfest2 in Portugal is set up by roelandp and is on once a year, but the steemit Roadshow is just me and a table traveling around telling people how amazing steemit is :)

This is marvelous. You guys have packed so much life into a single month! I can't wait to see what lies ahead.

It reminds me so much of the Captain Fantastic movie. (Forgive me if I mentioned that before. If not, check out the trailer.)

Thank you @winstonalden
Yes I have heard this before, can't remember if it was you or not. I am going to get my hands on this captain fantastic film one day :)

The pictures are amazing, you and your family are having a blast. I wanna visit all the cities you been through one day :) Though I have been told that Copenhagen and other Scandinavian cities are really expensive. Keep steeming, I love your posts :)

Thank you @practicaleric
Yes it is expensive in Scandinavia if you don't live there, but the standard of living is very high compared to the rest of Europe.
Thanks for stopping by.

Very Cool! We're all jealous. My Daughter is backpacking around Europe and is in Spain now!

Don't be jealous, pack a bag and go join your daughter, it will be the best thing you've ever done, I know what your thinking "but what about the house?" sell it and use the money to live life to its fullest :)

Don't worry.... that's the plan. As soon as our business sells then the house goes on the market and we're out of here!!

❤️❤️❤️ Copenhagen

Loving Copenhagen. :)

It's awesome that you get your kids to see this beautiful world . Travelling teaches you a lot more than school books...
Have fun guys !!

Yes @carodebali
The whole point of all this is to teach them about the world through seeing as much of it a possible.

Bless.

Mark what a lovely collection of memories of a free and happy family. It must be hard when you can't commune with nature like in the city but somehow you will always find that piece of paradise. It sounds like you are heading toward something wonderful and I am sure you will love the Steemfest. Take lots of pictures and just enjoy life! Thank-you for the wonderful picture journey and story of your wonderful one month of seeing the world. Please take care!!! :D

so beautiful

@victorlondono

@markwhittam, enjoy a holiday with family very beautiful it feels.

holidays with family on leisure is really exciting. but it takes a strong physical drive and takes a lot of money to travel. the many places you go, the more time you spend and the more money you need to spend is not a thought. the most important thing is to make people around us that we love happily. spirit of friends, and continue to work in steemit. if a lot of income from steemit do not forget to invite me to participate in your vacation. Hehehe @markwhittam

Some beautiful photography of a beautiful life!

Love seeing you all living free and happy together!

Thank you @quinneaker
Life is an adventure and the world is our playground. :)

Bless.

It sure can be!

Guys you look so happy! You are very right to choose this way of living, especially for your kids. Their world is so wide.

Wow sounds like a fun trip :-)

I really enjoyed leading your this post💕✨✨
Lovely cabin nature pool everything so great!!!
I've been to Denmark but it's not Copenhagen. I'll definitely go next time👍✈️

Love the photos! :) Your children are truly living/doing/experiencing what others can only hear and imagine about or read about in books. They are so lucky to have such wise, brave, hardworking and caring parents like you. Imagine how brave, knowledgeable and adventurous they will be when they grow up! It'll be all because of what you are doing now. Much love to all of you...
