Welcome back @mobbs. I'm happy you seem to have found a better and healthier lifestyle.
Your health is worth more than all the Steem in the world.

I can relate to your job and posting on steem.
You wouldn't believe the amount of juggling I have to do between my job, family time, kids activities, @lemouth's exercises and my new open source project. It's mad. One good post a week wouldn't be a bad result for me...

Like you I actually do a little bit of composition for piano and I think you understand the feeling when a piece is finally complete. Not that it's going to make us rich or popular. It's not the point anyway. I like to think that I'm leaving something personal to my kids that they will be able to enjoy when they are older and I'm not around anymore.

Your YouTube link doesn't work, please let me know if you have a channel with your music.

All the best.
@irelandscape

Oh yeah, got anything you can show? I think the YT link should work now. It's nothing special, but I had it on private mode. I don't have a proper channel, I was never really a person keen on the idea of being a public figure, no matter how small, but you'll be hearing some of my music whether you like it or not pretty soooon....

Sounds nice. I'm sure you can expand on it and turn it into a nice full length songtrack.

Here is the link to my channel

Bring it on! :-D

This reminded me of when I did an internship in one of the banks here. Even as an intern staff, I worked my arse out. I'd leave my house early in the morning to come back late at night. It wasn't easy, but it was fun though.

PS:

hair growing in weird new places

You know our ancestors had hairs growing in weird places too. Maybe you're just de-evolving back to the ancient hominid species... I'm kidding :p

Yeah I reckon as long as you enjoy it there's no point even thinking about the amount of hours. I just think of the free time I had and how I just wasted those hours away regardless, so it's ok with me to work long.

And our ancestors had hair in the same places right? Just more of it =P

Well, you can't just conclude nobody cares if you post. Some of us are ardent consumption of your articles even if it is most of the time silent. It would be nice to have you posting regularly again and yea, we miss the usual discord bubble as well.

Well yeah I meant more in the grand scheme. I'm not being written about in the NYTimes. And that's how I like it =)

hair growing in weird new places, unpredictable outbreaks of emotion

going through adolescence again? :P

I am really happy that you are back to a real world job. Steemit can wait, your health (both mental and physical) is more important.

Yep for sure, cheers! My allergies are falling back in line, feeling good, so I'm definitely plotting my upcoming posts...

Your story reminds me of my previous experience, Ive learned the hard way that an exhausted body is better than an exhasuted mind, Good luck @mobbs !

This is a good way to put it! The body is designed to get itself exhausted, really. That's what gyms are for after all

But I do care if you post :)

10,000 steps a day sure beats my 8000 :D

It's good to wake up with a feeling that I'm going to do something useful. Though the human spirit loves the freedom that comes without the 9 to 5 hustle.

Keep following that dream. Gracias.

Yeah I think it's a case of the grass being greener. I yearn for my lazy days already even though I enjoy what I'm doing. Thankfully the horrible boredom is still fresh in my memory so I'm in no rush for another such break =)

That sounds just right. Keep pushing till it gives or you branch off to other endeavours.

shrug, works for me.

Chinese censorship I guess :/

I... feel like this would be greek censorship... anyway it's just me amateurishly playing piano for 20 seconds

Edit - oh it was set to private. should work now

Good luck!

These are some major activities going on @mobbs. Happy for your new job.

Well, it is as they say; It gets easier with time. And yes, i think you've gotten neck deep and influential enough in the community to have people care about whether you post or not. I might not be your number 1 fan, but i am grateful for the values you've been adding to this platform, so yes, i care and i think tons of others do too.

PS: You're way better than i am at the Piano.

Glad to hear you're working and happy. I can understand the stress that accumulates from not going to a job regularly. Whenever I've worked remotely for extended stretches I get out of a normal schedule and weirdly stressed out.

rock on , mate :)

they say i keep weird company , its not consistent

we do what we must to be able to do what we want

we all have our own way of doing it

environment tends to limit or expand the options

the rest is self-expression

projecting yourself onto the world you perceive

why did you wait that long if thats what makes you happy ?

if thats what makes you happy

you should do it

life's too short to waste while you're not looking for something to eat
