I would normally make my daily post directly into the 500 words a day community but it is literally too nice to be inside and I don't own a laptop. I have people over for the evening so I'm more writing my daily post out of habit than anything else. Not even sure if it will make the 500 without a counter but we can pretend that it did either way.
I was off work for the past two weeks and while I made the most of it, the weather was absolutely terrible. My bbq was an indoor event and the evening spent in the living room catching up and playing drinking games. A great time was had by all. It was a great night and the trip to the city the next day was on the August Bank Holiday but again it was sunglasses and umbrellas.
Not ideal for what we wanted. I was back to work last Friday and have just finished 5 early starts in a row to an under pressure team so straight back to hustle. I didn't mind but getting up was tough with those 4am alarms. Those I did not miss in the slightest.
I managed to get the place back on track with the boss and we have it in much better shape after the few days. A little organisation goes a long way.
Looking forward to having tomorrow off though and maybe enjoying some of the sunshine before the summer is over. I wasn't going to waste this chance since it is a rare and beautiful occasion that we have heat in Ireland.
Good thing we have a nice accent. The tan doesn't do us many favours abroad. And since there will be no abroad this year its garden holidays for everybody.
Finally finished up my garden project a month ago as well and have to say it's looking sharp. Nice to be sitting here on the patio with a tidy space in front of me.
That's it until tomorrow anyway but it feels good to get a post out. I wouldn't want to miss my daily ramblings but I definitely wasn't going to miss the sunshine when I'm home. 😁
