Freedom has always been my number one priority. Strangely enough, the place where I live, Germany definitely wouldn't be the first place to come to peoples minds with this subject. Still, I think, particularly with our history we have achieved a high level of freedom in all aspects of life.
Of course, there is bigotry and people like the ones you describe, but once one understands their ways, Germans can be much more outgoing and funny then people generally think.
I wish all good things for you, and that you find what you are longing for on this "journey". When I saw the last photo of this series, I immediately felt remembered of my Tarot card XXI - the World... not really the exact same pose, but to me a similar feeling..
