Era un día soleado, subimos a la montaña a explorar un rato al punto de costumbre, estábamos @asoteldo y yo. Esta montaña se conoce como “Los Bufalos“ está al sur de la ciudad en el Municipio El Hatillo, punto de encuentro común para excursionistas y fanáticos del senderismo.
It was a sunny day, we went up to the mountain to explore for a while at the usual point, there was @asoteldo and me. This mountain is known as "Los Bufalos" and is located south of the city in the municipality of El Hatillo, a common meeting point for hikers and trekking fans.
El camino hasta la bandera no es exigente, unos minutos de vista panorámica, muchos paseando a sus perros, otros ejercitándose, la verdad es que teníamos más energía de lo normal, queríamos adentrarnos en los senderos, cuando llegamos al lugar de siempre decidimos explorar.
The way to the flag is not demanding, a few minutes of panoramic view, many walking their dogs, others exercising, the truth is that we had more energy than usual, we wanted to get into the trails, when we reached the usual place we decided to explore.
En vez de tomar la ruta de regreso usual [el mismo sendero por el que llegamos lo recorremos de regreso] tomamos otra ruta en la encrucijada que nos regresa hasta la urbanización principal, y nos adentramos por una vía que era completamente desconocida para mí, aparentemente mi hermano @asoteldo si había andado antes por ahí, muchos vehículos abandonados y llenos de óxido son parte del panorama, pero lo más extraño fue una reja a medio caer que sin un segundo de reflexión llamó mi atención inmediatamente, entonces sin pensarlo mucho le dije a @asoteldo:
Instead of taking the usual return route [the same path we took on the way back] we took another route at the crossroads that takes us back to the main urbanization, and we went into a road that was completely unknown to me, apparently my brother @asoteldo if he had walked there before, many abandoned vehicles full of rust are part of the panorama, but the strangest thing was a half-fallen gate that without a second of reflection caught my attention immediately, so without much thought I said to @asoteldo:
-¡Hermano! ¿Qué es eso?
-Una cantera abandonada bro, ahí hay maquinaria, eso lo cuidan unos vigilantes ahí son panas déjame asomarme.

Sote le silbó a los gariteros pero nadie respondió. Inmediatamente empezaron a volar por mi cabeza con un millón de posibilidades ¿de quien era eso? ¿que hay adentro? ¿por que hay tantos vehículos abandonados? Algo había escuchado de la antigua expropiación que tuvo lugar en la urbanización.

En el año 2010 el gobierno de Hugo Chávez decidió expropiar los edificios que se estaban construyendo en la urbanización El Encantado, los vecinos exigieron su derecho (Fuente) pero la expropiación tuvo lugar deteniendo la obra y dejando una cantidad importante de construcciones a mitad de camino.
In 2010 the government of Hugo Chavez decided to expropriate the buildings that were being built in the urbanization El Encantado, the neighbors demanded their right (Source) but the expropriation took place stopping the construction and leaving a significant amount of construction halfway.

Entramos y acordamos que haríamos una historia fotográfica de todo el recorrido y lo que había adentro. Las expropiaciones formaron parte de una dinámica del gobierno de Chávez para incentivar a ciertos sectores de la población para votar por él, alegando que acabaría con la burguesía y la centralización de la riqueza para repartirla equitativamente para el pueblo, una excelente consigna comunista para una población sumamente rentista.
We went in and decided that we make a photographic history of the whole tour and what was inside. Nadie regreso nunca a buscar nada. En éste tipo de planificaciones logísticas se utilizan mucho containers como parte de la estructura, bien sea como oficinas o como depósitos de material.
We found offices with all the glass broken, all kinds of paperwork on the floor, as if they had abandoned the construction yesterday, even though it was really ten years ago everything was still there. Abundaban piezas de motores, mangueras, escaleras, pero mientras más nos adentrábamos nuestra impresión iba creciendo, empezamos a encontrar camiones, procesadoras, trituradoras, pero no de cualquier tipo ¡maquinaria para levantar una ciudad completa! Encontramos baúles llenos de métodos de seguridad para empleados de construcción, oficinas casi completamente demolidas por los azotes de la naturaleza y la falta de mantenimiento.
Engine parts, hoses, ladders abounded, but as we went deeper into our impression, we began to find trucks, processors, crushers, but not just any kind of machinery to build a whole city! We found trunks full of safety methods for construction workers, offices almost completely demolished by the scourge of nature and lack of maintenance.
Mientras explorábamos empezamos a notar algunas cosas que no tenían mucho sentido, por ejemplo, un vecino nos comentó que la cantera tenía una laguna no natural, es decir que se trataba de un espacio de piedra amplio que se había llenado de agua de la lluvia (?)
As we explored we began to notice some things that didn't make much sense, for example, a neighbor told us that the quarry had an unnatural pond, that is, a large stone space that had been filled with rainwater (?)

También que en algunos lugares de la cantera había botellas de licor vacías así que alguien debe haber disfrutado de unas buenas noches entre las rocas y los desechos jajaja.

Muchas máquinas han sido desvalijadas y se nota que piezas fueron removidas, el aceite extraído de los motores pero siguen ahí igualmente, maquinas que valen mucho MUCHO dinero.

Adentrándonos encontramos un almacén con un parque de diversiones o las atracciones de un parque todas arrumadas, montañas rusas para niños, tránsitos, mesas de hockey, carritos chorrones, todo a su suerte, descuidado, botado entre la chatarra, quizá era de algún miembro del gobierno que aprovechó la oportunidad para guardarlo ahí quien sabe.
Going in, we found a warehouse with an amusement park or the attractions of a park, all of which were crowded together, roller coasters for children, traffic, hockey tables, squirting carts, all of which were careless, thrown among the scrap metal, maybe it belonged to some member of the government who took the opportunity to keep it there who knows.

La meritocracia es una de las más grandes culturas que puede tener un país donde todo lo que se tiene se basa en el esfuerzo sostenido a lo largo del tiempo, las dinámicas socialistas buscan destruir el progreso de unos pocos entregándolo a grupos que no tienen la conciencia sobre el esfuerzo que implicó ganarse las cosas, y por ello llegamos a estos niveles de descomposición, miles de viviendas sin terminar, equipos abandonados, promesas inconclusas para ciudadanos que esperan aún se les entreguen los apartamentos que se prometió se les regalaría. ¿Los responsables? Meritocracy is one of the greatest cultures that a country can have where everything it has is based on sustained effort over time, socialist dynamics seek to destroy the progress of a few by handing it over to groups that are not aware of the effort that went into earning it, and so we arrive at these levels of decomposition, thousands of unfinished homes, abandoned equipment, unfinished promises for citizens who are still waiting for the apartments that were promised to be given to them. Those responsible? They are on the beach. Please do not disturb. Long live the “beautiful revolution“ (government slogan).
