Been visiting family in Maine. This week I am in my home town, exploring old haunts and finding some new ones.

Been staying in my little brothers house near the water. It is so peaceful; and I wake to views like this.

Some lovely views from where my father lives as well across the water.

Here is the house I grew up in; beautiful, mysterious old house with so many hidden nooks and crannies; I wonder what else could be hidden there.

Had a nice lunch in a new cafe in town. Surprisingly good for the price and a lovely patio.

Here is another new place I would love to check out when all this covid business is over.

Next I went in a bit of an adventure; took the long way to my aunt's house to stop at the Mill River Park

I looked around for an area that resembled where pirates would bury treasure and slowly moved my metal detector around. It went off around a large area near the hill and I began to dig it out just a little. I found a very large metal piece too big for me to dig up so I just left it.

My uncle surmised it might be something from the old junkyard that used to be there. (My aunt was out so went to see my uncle instead) We had a nice talk about his house and family, like the ship named after a relative that went down off of Florida; the crew allegedly eaten by sharks. He showed me around his old house that had been in our family for years and how he has been fixing it up, beautiful place.

Had a lovely couple of walks; it should rain for the next couple of days so won't be walking around. Will try to keep blogging daily or semi-daily.
