It's been a while...
Building My Brand
After working on my music for a while and beginning a couple collaboration projects that are still ongoing, I decided to take a step back from producing music and really focus on building my brand. Until this month, I barely had over 100 followers on Facebook, I had an outdated website, and people weren't really paying any attention to me.
I spent a lot of time redesigning my website to make it appear as attractive as I could. And I ultimately went with a simplistic black and white design. As of now there are 2 pages: Home and Music. In the future, I definitely plan on expanding upon that, but for where I'm at, I believe this works pretty well!
In addition to redesigning my website, I also did a small advertising campaign on Facebook to see what would happen. And I'm extremely excited to see that Vital Mistake now has over 1,000 likes! I plan on continuing the Black and White theme on Facebook as well because I want to keep symmetry across all of my Social Media.
I also created a Reverbnation account that I'm extremely excited about. I uploaded a lot of my music and had it analyzed and reviewed to see how it compared to everything. Both of my songs got a 7/10 and were in the 77-83 percentile. One goal of mine is to have my next song be at least a 7.6 so it can be featured by the site and help get me more exposure. But I also applied for different gigs and talent submissions, and I am extremely excited to see what opportunities come my way. And as of now, my Regional rank for EDM is #3 in the Philadelphia area!

Absolutely a great message you bring with this post. Creating art is not sufficient, all the other business aspects, including marketing are important to get your art in the field. A brand is vital, and consistency in it across all your social media.
