One of the difficult decisions I have to make as a realtor is who I "hang my license with". The is the term used for sales agents agreeing to work with a Broker. The Broker does many of the same things that agents do as well as oversee the transaction but not really, most say they will do a lot but don't. They are responsible for compliance with the state and national real estate laws and can be a drain on a sales agent's commissions so it's important to choose wisely.
I won't go into much detail about costs but the point is I changed my brokerage and remembering all the pains of doing so, this wasn't my first time making the change and probably won't be my last. I am burdened with some of the protocol as well as re-branding-- such as new signs, business cards, website, and marketing strategies. In the end it's worth the switch just to mix it up but each time I have done so I earn more money, I also switch to brokers that do less and less for me which is fine. The more I do the more I learn and require less and less help with each day that passes.
It is not without apprehension I am making this switch but I have to mix things because I have been getting a bit bored lately. On to the next chapter!
Life is either an adventure, or it's boring. Sometimes changing things up is good, it pushes you out of complacency.
truth. I think Helen Keller coined that phrase. "life is either daring adventure, or nothing at all"
I am truly pushing out complacency, today was my first day working with the new brand and it was crazy! Opened escrow, previewed the property with the buyer, who bought it sight unseen, and he approves. Great day.
That sounds like a very good day indeed!
Today was mellow, got to sleep and than work on seller disclosures....That led to another possible listing the client is going to refer. fingers crossed so another good day today.
Hope it works out great man!

Thank you, I am optimistic. I did it the day before closing a deal and now under contract with the new broker so that's pretty cool. Will save me quite a bit!
Trust ya on that, haven't done real estate in ages so pretty sure the rules have changed the past 20 years. Plus you're way out yonder and I hear there are waiting lists just to build now?

it's truly a nightmare. There are good things about it but not many. Where did you sell real estate?
