October 9, 2015 was the best day of my life. I married my best friend and soul mate after 7 years of dating. Neither of us had ever been to Hawaii but we knew we wanted to get married in paradise. Maui was a dream come true!
We spent a week exploring Maui. Some of my favorites of Maui other than our wedding day was The Road to Hana and riding bikes from the volcano, haleakala after watching the sunrise above the clodus! The Road to Hana was 65 miles, 620 curves and 59 bridges of the most beautiful and diverse terrain. Beaches, forest, overlooks, cliffs, crashing waves, and the most ridiculous 1 lane, cliff side, u-turn type curves.
After that we spent 4 days exploring the island of Kauai, the garden island. Favorite part of that island was our helicopter tour over the island. You see Jurassic Falls, Waimea Valley, Napali Coast and waterfalls galore. Also, our private hike and beach with lava rocks and amazing sunsets where we watched the fish swim in the shallow, clear waters.
We then spent 3 days sailing the west side of Oahu. We got to snorkel, relax, and watch the sunsets with the best 360 degree view right in the ocean yet having the beautiful coast not far from sight.
After sailing we spent 2 days in Oahu staying the night in Honolulu. We toured as much of the island as we could including diamond head, snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, and eating pineapple ice cream at the dole factory.
The last night fireworks went off right in front of our balcony. It was the perfect way to end the trip.
