Just this morning I finished reading Part 2 of the Throne of Glass series, Crown of Midnight.
Having been crowned the King's Champion, Celaena has been commissioned to kill the people the King says are traitors rebelling against his ways. After four short years she will be granted her freedom and she will never have to kill again. But hidden in the forgotten corridors of the castle is a secret that could drastically foil the Kings plans and help the Rebel Movement.
Admittedly, these books are aimed more at people in their late teens or early 20's but they're still quite a good read, and there was even a work I had to google the definition of (lachrymose!) as I'd never heard it before. This series is rated 4.8 stars on amazon and is well worth the read for any fans of Fantasy writing.
