I know a lot of Venezuelans on STEEM who miss their homeland and their homes but has to live and work abroad due to the terrible state Venezuela has got into thanks to communist leadership.
I hope this will shake things up a bit in the right direction.

The problem is, it doesn't matter if the US accept him as the new president. I doubt the old regime is willing to simply give up and resign. This could get very ugly!

The big question is, what the venezuelan military will do next. At the moment they seem to back Maduro still, since they (the military leadership) have profited from him. But the normal soldiers not so much, of course.
It could well lead into a civil war. Or the USA taking control by a invasion - in the name of democrathy, as always.
These are the likely steps as I see it, and in that order of priority. Covert OPS is a bit more fluid, however. Prolly happening now, in fact. Just my $.02 LOL

I highly doubt there will be an invasion as that actually makes it much harder to find people and kill people. The only reason for a full fledged invasion woul be to secure their oil fields, which is a possibility but I dont think Trump is down for that, If he loses in 2020 then we could definitely see that happen
Well, it depends on if a US friendly president can be installed without a civil war. If not, I expect a "peace mission" soonish. 2020 is to far away. "Never let a good crisis go to waste." as they say in politics. ;)
