As humans, we are innately crafty and skillful. Even as kids, we learn and develop new skills by creating and playing. Over time as we grow into adults, we lose that playfulness we had as kids, and the urge to create and do things ourselves starts to ward off. We simply say we don't have all the time and experience and get someone else to do that particular task for us. Without us knowing, all this deprives us of the joy and pleasure of using our bare hands and ideology to create something truly special and unique.
Studies show that DIY projects go beyond just being creative and crafty. It's more of a unique value you create yourself simply by taking time to make or create something all by yourself. However, in this modern era of smartphones, it makes it easy for one to live their entire existence without really creating anything.
At build-it.io, we are all about rewarding and promoting creativity, hence DIY. We want to see the DIY and craft movement infuse the world at all costs, turning many to start fixing and creating stuff with their bare hands, and ultimately break the humdrum of mass-produced products. That being said, we also want to remind and encourage you to be proud of your crafts and fabrications, regardless if you're into crocheting, gardening, artist, chef, catering, or even a shoe repairer. As long as you make them with your bare hands, then you're contributing to making this world a better place for all.
