In this short update, we tried out a new Makita drill to tackle some stubborn screws in hardened concrete... and let’s just say, the concrete won. It’s not really a tool review (that’s not what this channel is about), but more a look at the process, the progress, and the small victories—and failures—that come with building from scratch. The rebar’s done, formwork is coming off, and the ceiling install is just around the corner. After that, I’ll finally get a well-earned break.
I love Makita. Started buying their cordless tools with the Lithium Batteries. They are great. Good to have a screw gun and the Screw Gun and the hammer drill. Good bit down since your last post. Nice plan for the sun. Fair pley. Enjoy the few weeks off.
Great update! Despite the hard concrete, progress is showing. Good luck with the ceiling installation and break ahead on your construction journey.
Thanks!
Haha yah now that is a project! Love watching people build and share it here with the rest of us. Love to hear the chickens getting in on the conversation too.
Looks like those long screws were stuck in the concrete no matter which drill you use.
I am going to have to dig back into the story to see what brought you to this point. That winter view when the trees drop their leaves.
Solid!
