There comes a time when you will probably hit rock bottom or reach your break point in your career. It can be due to having a micro manger as a boss or overbearing the stress that comes with overworking yourself. While this point could be frustrating, it also offers a chance to get the best for your career as there's only place to go from there, up!.

Burnout at work helps us realize the importance and significance of change. As every bad situation has an expiring date, it offers a date to get out of it. A study revealed that the boomer generation i.e people between the ages of 18-48, spend an average of 12 jobs during their life time. While millennials, on the average change/leave after every 3yrs.

Burnout at work gives an opportunity to recognize your value and seek for new/better job or make the current one work for you. No matter how burnout make you feel, don't spend majority of your productive hours/time dwelling or feeling worse or enraged about it.

Here are Ways that burning out can be a blessing in disguise

1. By Forcing you to listen to your body

Does burnout cause you to stay awake at night? or does it cause you feel headache when you step into work?. It's a terrible situation when your job starts affecting your emotional and physical health/state.

There are ways and symptoms through which our body communicates and warn us about an impending breakdown. Feeling always bad at work can affect your productivity as you tend to become unproductive with your time.

Embracing certain health techniques like meditation, having enough good sleep and setting clear boundaries for work can guide you back to a stable level and help you make the right choice concerning your role or job that best fits you.

2. By Making Space for you to consider what you want

Performing self assessment helps you determine whether you're receiving or putting more than enough efforts to work. The sad thing is most people don't do this, they wait till things worsen or go south before taking these evaluations.

Self assessment helps you to know what is needed in terms of improvement/advancement or the flexibility you need to achieve personal demands. And to make the bold decision if your current job is the best or what you truly want.

3. By Encouraging you to find your Career and not just another job

Many people work to be able to fund rest of their lives, which isn't a bad thing. We however, have to reach that point when we decide what offers better rewards to well-being and career. Burnout at work gives you the chance to think years ahead what will be best for you.

Your answer will help determine if your current job offers the best path for reaching your desired destination. If the current one doesn't, it's best to figure out and take action regarding the right path to thread next.
