The Basic Differences of Criminal Law and Civil Law

The criminal law aims to protect public interests that have direct implications for the widespread (general) society, where if a criminal act is committed, adversely affecting the security, security, welfare and public order in society
Private civil law that focuses on regulating the relationship between individual (individual). Therefore, the provisions of civil law only have a direct impact on the parties involved.
Civil law is a law or provision that regulates obligations, rights, and interests between individuals in a private society (closed). Civil law commonly known by private law. Civil law serves to handle cases that are private or private. For example, such as inheritance law, divorce law, defamation law and law of engagement. Civil law has a purpose to solve conflicts or problems that occur between both parties.
Civil law occurs when a person obtains a private case (closed in. Civil law occurs when a party reports to the relevant party to the authorities in a case that concerns only the two individuals.

Legal inheritance
Divorce Law
Defamation law

whereas the Criminal Law is the whole of the rules governing what is prohibited and includes into the criminal act, and determining what punishment can be imposed on the one doing so
Determine which acts shall not be exercised and which is prohibited, accompanied by threats or sanctions in the form of a specific penalty for anyone who violates the prohibition.
Determine when and in what matters to those who have violated such restrictions may be imposed or criminalized as has been threatened.
Determine in what manner the imposition of a criminal may be exercised if any person is alleged to have violated the prohibition
